DAO Creature-funded contributions by individual members.
Completed assets, workshops, and educational outputs.
Demonstrated ability to deliver verifiable, on-chain and off-chain results.
By attaching this, we show the DAO that the Sandbox Nigeria Collective is not starting from zero, we are building on already proven work, with a track record of execution and measurable results.
Through past DAO-funded initiatives and independent projects, we have delivered tangible outputs, onboarded new creators, and showcased how cultural content from Africa can enrich The Sandbox ecosystem. Our Proof-of-Work is publicly documented here: Sandbox Africa / Sandbox Nigeria — Proof of Work
This SIP builds on that foundation with a disciplined, 3-month pilot that will:
Solve the content gap by delivering premium cultural Avatars.
Close the onboarding gap by converting participants into active builders.
Validate a scalable blueprint for Sandbox growth across Africa.
By funding this proposal, the DAO invests in a high-ROI, milestone-based initiative led by a proven team. With your support, Sandbox Nigeria will not only drive measurable adoption locally but also provide the blueprint for Africa-wide expansion.
Team behind the sandbox Africa are top notch and capable of executing this project perfectly without any mistakes because each an everyone one of them is a boss on his or her own, coming together to form a strong pillar in the sandbox ecosystem @Lanzer and @theKuntaMC can strongly testify to this
I want to tag along some few delegates who are yet to drop their feedbacks on this SIP and in request for their outstanding support growth of this SIP.
Please We humbly request for your open opinion on what you think or suggest that we do to bring Sandbox Adoption to Nigeria and Africa expansion as a whole?
If The Sandbox can truly understand what we’re trying to achieve through the Sandbox Nigeria Initiative, it’ll be clear this proposal can drive massive adoption just like what’s already happening with Trust Wallet Squadmates across Africa.
That’s the kind of on-ground impact we aim to replicate not something we organized, but a model that shows the scale and energy this region can bring when given support.
We’ve already begun our journey with a 10-workshop program where we teach members of the Sandbox Nigeria Community how to use VoxEdit and Game Maker, helping them gain creative and technical skills while becoming fully immersed in The Sandbox ecosystem.
Right now, crypto adoption in Nigeria is at its peak, events and educational meetups happen almost daily, led by thought leaders and project advocates. This momentum presents the perfect timing for The Sandbox to strengthen its presence and community base here.
Our goal is to localize adoption, educate builders, and grow The Sandbox brand across Nigeria, one workshop, one creator, and one community at a time.
I think the big thing you have to work through is the differing perspectives among DAO Admin Team and Sandbox team on who should be helping Sandbox Africa/Nigeria.
They can correct me if I’m wrong, but my guess is that the DAO Admin Team believes that they DON’T have the authority to formally recognize the Sandbox Africa in the way that Korea or Saudi Arabia is recognized. Likewise, Seb said that he believed it was the DAO’s role to fund Sandbox Africa.
So the DAO Admin Team probably hasn’t invited you to propose a SIP and the Sandbox team hasn’t made their team available to you because of those different perspectives.
Again, anyone can correct me if I’m wrong on this. But I think that’s why we are seeing both sides not fulfill what you’re requesting in this SIP idea.
Thanks a lot, Lanzer, for clarifying that, it really helps us understand where the gap might be.
Our intention with this SIP isn’t to bypass any structure or authority but to create alignment by showing what’s possible when a regional team takes initiative under clear DAO direction.
We fully respect the distinction between the DAO Admin Team and the Sandbox core team, and we’re open to working with whichever structure the DAO confirms as responsible for regional formalization.
The goal here is simple, to establish a proof-driven, transparent model that can help Sandbox scale adoption in Africa/Nigeria while giving the DAO measurable outcomes. If this SIP can also serve as a reference point to help both teams align on roles, we’d be glad to contribute toward that clarity.
