Hey Cyril! I see that Twitter is showing followers. What is the Social Acquisition chart showing for Discourse and Snapshot? Is it showing users and members?
My Revenue Options SIP shows “On Hold” and I no longer see my SANDDAO Podcast SIP on the list. I haven’t heard back from the DAO Team what this means as of yet.
I’m pretty excited to see some of the things on your SIP Quality and Operational Efficiency. Is the “Progressive Decentralization: meaning” a video or statement?
The Sandbox has published an article about progressive decentralisation here, with also the type of SIPs that are encouraged as well as a checklist increase the quality of submissions.
The SIPs are paused until Delegation is up and running (we however give the option to the author to still push for his/her SIP if he/she wishes): this is done to give the author a better chance to reach quorum.
A series of improved, more helpful guidelines, with a new website UI will be published on the website soon (teaser below)
@Lanzer the “Snapshot” chart, represent members of the DAO Snapshot space, and “Discourse” is our acquisition on this very forum (this is the platform we are using)
DELEGATION: thanks a lot to everybody who applied, we will closing the interview sessions and publish the results soon.
SIP: Still paused for now (unless authors still wish to try)
COMMUNITY MANAGER: We are proud to announce our new Community Manager: Bobby Kunta! Expect an intro post from him today, followed by a video, community pool, etc. Don’t hesitate to say hi !
THE SANDBOX DAO Podcast: to be launched by Bobby very soon
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES: have been published on the website this morning, in an effort to be more transparent on the process, and guide the community toward better SIPs; together with a new template (Typeform). Follow this dedicated post on this very forum for more infos.
Hey Cyril! When you said SIPs were on pause I hadn’t understood that SIP authors could still proceed with the process. Are you saying that I and other SIP authors are able to advance our SIPs to vote?
If the curation is finished, we leave it at the author discretion to push for his SIP for discussion then vote. We know that there has been a lot of SIP failing quorum recently.
With @theKuntaMC , we have been trying to tackle the most difficult community questions and lacked some time to discuss them all in the end. A new episode will follow, soon
Thanks to an Alpha Season 4 campaign (join the DAO and gain some EP!), the membership on Snapshot has exploded in a week from 279 to more than 8.5k members
SIPS (resuming the 27th of November)
2 SIPs ready for discussion
UGC website: only 2 submissions received so far: we need more diversity in submissions! (deadline extended to end of the month)
Full SIP tracker shared below
Miscellaneous
We have finally fixed the bug on the dashboard page of the website that was preventing real time update
We negotiated with The Sandbox so the DAO can receive 300 (free) LANDs! The piece of software developed to ease up the transfer is currently being tested. These LANDs will be used for giveaway or other projects…
The software to transfer The Sandbox NFT collection ( …) to the DAO is also being tested
We are updating the way we track projects, so we can share their progress with you, in a meaningful way. There will be a % of completion next to each project soon! It requires quite a lot of update of the various subtasks (more than a 100), but we believe it’s worth it, so our work can be shared, (even more) transparently. In the meantime, we have cleaned the list. See screen grab below
Great progress! This update is loaded with information.
Btw the podcast is also off to a good start. Great job @theKuntaMC. It’s engaging and from that 1hr vid I’ve gained more insight to all the inner workings of the DAO team than I have since the start of the DAO. Please do it on a regular basis. It’s probably 1 of the best medium to engage members Vs reading walls of texts.
Thanks for the hard work in building the DAO structure prior to it being live. Didn’t know that so much work was put into it. I have a newfound appreciation for what you do @Cyril.

Thank you for sharing that number. This is very valuable to know.
Tell me how it is, it’s impossible for me to watch myself .
It worked out really well. This episode shared a lot of great things that helped me understand where your thoughts were. It was really good to hear your background at length and see those raw results from the survey. And at 35:53 when you talked about being a silent builder type, and you talked about how you aren’t a professional community manager and you don’t know how to address the community properly, and how you wanted to launch the DAO in an awesome way at NFC Lisbon after 8 months of thoughtful planning…
…my friend, THAT’S the kind of thing I wanted to hear and understand from the beginning. What you said makes complete sense to me, and when I heard you say it, I felt my anger, mistrust, and resentment start to fade away, and I was left with wanting to apologize to you for how intense I’ve been toward you and the DAO Admin team.
So I’m apologizing now.
Dear @Cyril and DAO Admin Team,
Je suis désolé I am sorry that I did not give you more trust and the benefit of the doubt. I’m sorry that I rushed to conclusions about your motives. And I am sorry I didn’t try harder to understand your point of view. S’il te plaît, pardonne-moi, I hope you can forgive me. I want to repair what can be repaired, build with you, and work toward a positive future.

Don’t worry about it @Lanzer! It’s OK, I know you want what is best for the DAO and you don’t trust easy. I understand, I’m the same. (and kudos on the effort with French haha)
A couple of news, before closing the year, with updates on:

SIP tracker
[NEW ] project tracker updated with progress %. If you are interested in knowing more about a particular project, let us know, we will do our best to respond
Thanks @Cyril for sharing. Would it be possible to know the reason why TSB product roadmap sharing is blocked and can we expect changes to that decision in future?
Have a good holiday to you too Cyril. Thanks for the update. I’m excited for the community council SIP and I’m interested to learn about the approach behind SIP compliance firm. You have a lot of projects on your plate!
Hello @KCL . About the roadmap, we really pushed with the product teams (game and tools), but basically they don’t feel confortable committing at this stage, as their roadmap changes to often, and they don’t want to disappoint the community. Also certain features will be announced to the press at some point, so they don’t want to dilute the effect of surprise.
Hello @Lanzer. I have found a Cayman shop that is specialised in compliance matters and more specifically in KYC/KYB. As their team is made of lawyers, we have tried to work with them on a small retainer to see if they could extend their services to SIP compliance analysis. (international law). We have been working with them so far. I’m also exploring with the DAO lawyers, as we could have the possibility to have a more “junior” resources from their team dedicated to SIP review too. I’m still exploring what formula works best with the project management team and where the DAO is getting more value for money.
Thank you so much for this detailed update. It’s great to see the transparency and the breadth of work being done by such a dedicated small team. Your efforts in managing the DAO mechanics, project management, and all the other responsibilities are truly appreciated.
About “Other DAO Analysis” , can someone explain how the % engagement is calculated.
For example, in ENS DAO, how 114 (or even 816) on 140k can give the result of 64% ?
