Accountability for Experience Owners and SAND Events

I hope you guys before checking experiences and funding them check the event organizers alot of them are rude and unprofessional they doesn’t care about their community members and they are allowing multiple accounts although it’s against sandbox rules

I hope if any admin/mod can help me report some organizers so they won’t be funded again and other Passionate and good organizers can grow communities, create better player experiences, and build lasting gaming events.

Do you have examples or screenshots you wouldn’t mind posting? Most of us aren’t checking into event organizer backgrounds.

yeah sure for example there is a guy named tobincraft first he baited players snd said you can get 5 rebirt max and 20 sand per rebirth then he changed it to 1/2 the reward/rebirth just because he so alot players grinding

Second thing if you create an event as an organizer you should be active in the time the event is running and try to help your players and solve their problems, instead of that he just login in once per day type alittle bit then disappear until the next day and if someone mentions him in the channel he gets mad

Third and most important for me I’ve opened a ticket and reported that a player is using multiple accounts and i gave him proof

He didn’t just ignored it for 3 days he closed the ticket without even replying or see it

Then I’ve opened another ticket trying my best to ban the multiple accounts so the competition will be fair

He ignored it and send the rewards directly without even replying

So I mentioned him in the ticket and told him this is totally unprofessional ignoring your players

He sent me a message of him taking actions and reducing his reward which was a lie because i’ve checked both mini events and tobi sent full rewards for the multiple accounts and instead of banning him he told me that I’ve broken 5 rules and also it was a lie because when i’ve asked him which rules {{{He banned me}}}

(((

  1. tell me which of the rules i broken you said 5 tell me which ones
  1. you said that you’ve reduced a reward for one of his accounts and you didn’t (i’ve checked this event and the previous one their is no reward reduction

  2. show me where sandbox accepted that it’s okay for his friends to play from the same computer

Idk if you’re new to sandbox but the rule about more than 1 account from the same ip was clear if they aren’t family they’ll get banned

So to make things clear he is lying bcz sandbox indicated that more than 2 family accounts playing on the same ip will get all accountsbanned and they specified family not friends

  1. i mean no disrespect for you if you were offended by me telling you this was unprofessional ..but it was, not nice to ignore your community players

*> last ticket you closed it without even replying or seeing it

*> you don’t reply fast like you keep us hanging for 1-2days

))))

This was the last message +he did the same with other players except banning

I hope Sandbox dao take actions and stop funding rude and unprofessional events organizers

It’s been almost 4years for me with sandbox and it’s heartbreaking seeing organizers like this ruining the sandbox community by banning players and being rude and allowing multiple accounts

Maybe @KamiSawZe can chime in here, as he spends a lot of time working with experience creators…?

Without pointing any fingers at any specific individuals, perhaps the DAO can discuss ways to help improve this element of the ecosystem, in general.

I know @Lanzer might have some ideas… or @batmann .. tag others if you think they might have input on how incidents like this can be reduced.

I’ve dealt with @batmann he is a great person and a good event organizer

Idk if he’s an admin here and can help me

Thanks guys for your efforts

Batmann is a delegate for the DAO : )

…and while the DAO may not be able to help with the specific scenario/example you offered above, the DAO could be a vehicle for suggesting changes or improvements to prevent similar incidents in the future.

You’ve identified a problem.

Now, if others here can collectively develop a potential solution, that could be moved to :light_bulb: SIP: Ideas.

Reading through TobiNCraft’s replies in this video, he was totally courteous, polite, and professional in response and you sound very aggressive.

Community event runners like this have no access to extra tools to check ban status, KYC, or anything like that. So they just have to rely at looking at public info on-chain. It sounds like they looked at your evidence, made an adjustment to the event in response, warned the offending player(s) while also considering their explanation. I’m not sure what else he is supposed to do about it.

Thank you for your kind words. I strive to run fair and open events and keep those values in everything I do, as I’m only here for the Sandfam—because of the Sandfam.

That being said, I agree these concerns are a major issue, not just in TSB but across Web3. I’d love to see some kind of Sandfam task force, similar to ape collectives, that focuses on cybersecurity and protecting the ecosystem from bad actors—but that’s just the vigilante in me. The truth is, there will always be vulnerabilities, especially for small UGC creators and teams, and unfortunately these things will happen no matter what we do.

All we as event coordinators can do is keep running fair, open events that put community first, while valuing the effort people bring to highlight issues. The community can also help by pushing the DAO to step up, stay neutral, take proof seriously, and fight for a truly fair and open metaverse for everyone. Together we can make change, but only when it’s done the correct way.

Thank you again for your kind words—this conversation reminded me why I’m still here, still trying to do things the right way, and showing that many of us only want the best for the community. To anyone reading, please feel free to reach out with feedback, positive or negative—that’s how we grow as humans. Wishing everyone an amazing day!

i’m 100% sure you haven’t seen the video just tell me where i was aggressive? he just ignore his community players and he is a liar he said that he reduced the multiaccount player reward and he didn’t

tbh it seems your defending him because ur unproffesional too

you said that he looked at the onchain info
3 accounts transferred their rewards directly after receiving it to 1 new wallet
what do you call that?

and when does sandbox allow 3 friends to play on the same computer?

best solution is stop funding tobincraft and before funding any other creator for his experience check he cares about the sandbox community or he just wanna advertise his experince only

Maybe it’s a language barrier thing, but you’re being aggressive and rude in your responses right now. I understand you are not pleased with how the rewards were paid out, but there isn’t much that can be done retroactively to fix this. I read all of the messages in the video you provided, and based on the way you were replying I am not surprised that you were banned from his server.

Ultimately it is up to him to moderate his own community and determine whether players should be awarded or not. How well things are handled could affect future grant awards if another grant program is started, but nobody can go back in time and revert transactions. At this time there are no tools for creators to check KYC or ban status, and even then bad actors and multiaccounters could still be a problem.

From the video provided it looks like he handled it the best he knew how. Your personal dissatisfaction with that is noted, but you’ll need to work on your tone if you want to work constructively with creators on creating better systems.

Thanks for jumping in, @KamiSawZe…

I know it’s an uncomfortable conversation here for all involved, but I’ve restored the posts that you’ve flagged here (for transparency), @tobincraft, but you are very welcome to respond to @snipxz (hopefully to de-escalate) here on the forum.

@snipxz - Kami was right in that you’re being a bit aggressive in your approach even if you disagree.

Let’s keep it cordial – We’re all SAND FAM, even when we disagree :blue_heart:

Now, while the DAO may not be able to help with the specific scenario/example in this thread, the DAO could be a vehicle for suggesting changes or improvements to prevent similar incidents in the future.

A problem has been identified: how can the DAO play a part in better ensuring that DAO-funded events are run transparently and in a way that feel fair to all parties involved?

If others here can collectively develop a potential solution, that could be moved to :light_bulb: SIP: Ideas.

I’m being direct right now because you accused me of something I didn’t do. I can’t submit all the opened tickets, and I’m not new to Sandbox—I’ve been here for almost 4 years and never had an issue with a creator before. Of course, I’ll be frustrated when my post is hidden and my problem is ignored

Your posts here are NOT hidden, nor are we ignoring you.

We have an open, transparent forum here.

While I am about to step away from desk for the weekend, I have no doubts that the parties involved in this misunderstanding (both of whom have been dedicated SandFam for years!) will use this safe space to respectfully work out the problem.

We SAND strong by standing together, even when we have disputes.

All funds were already distributed over 3 weeks ago. TobiNCraft is fully in charge of how rewards are paid out after that. Like I said, your disappointment with the situation can be reviewed should he apply for another round of grant funding (if continuing the grants becomes an option still has to be put to a vote), but there is nothing that can be done on my side at this point.

I recognize that the on-chain action looks very suspicious with everything moving to 0x107A4596C5664FdDd918fBD2605e69fEae5FB4c6 (an address which I see someone on Twitter unrelated to TSB complaining about their wallet being drained to). This is likely a valid complaint that can be discussed with The Sandbox’s anti-fraud team, though there likely isn’t much to be done when burner wallets can be created very easily.

This is as an opportunity for education and growth. @Paul, maybe you have some thoughts on processes creators can adopt to check for suspicious players before sending out rewards?

However, I do want to say that from the video you provided @snipxz I can clearly see both the rules TobiNCraft posted and messages you sent that would be in violation, explaining your ban. Coming into this forum with the attitude that he needs to be punished for enforcing his own community rules only serves to confirm that you were being aggressive. Toning it down will make event runners more willing to listen and not set them up to be defensive.

@snipxz Thanks for sharing the video, honestly, it speaks for itself.

I won’t keep feeding this endless cycle of toxicity. You’ve locked your focus on a player you accused of multi-accounting, and because I didn’t take the action you demanded, you’ve now shifted your attacks toward me publicly. That alone says a lot.

But just to humor you, here are the exact rules you broke:

Again I wasn’t planning to reply here because I didn’t want to keep fueling this cycle of toxicity. But now that you’re publicly misrepresenting my work, something I’ve poured passion and time into, I have to respond.

Yes, you disagreed with the outcome. That’s okay. But instead of moving forward constructively, you chose to amplify your frustration publicly, misrepresenting facts and attempting to tear down what others have worked hard to build.

You’re entitled to your opinion, but I kindly ask you to not twist facts to frame honest moderation as “rude” or “corrupt.” That kind of messaging does way more harm to the community than the issue itself.

As community event organizers, we do our best with the limited tools available, we don’t have access to ban lists, KYC tools, or backend moderation systems. We rely on community reports, patterns of behavior, and trust.

With that said, I’ll continue doing my part to make this space fair, fun, and respectful for everyone involved :blue_heart:

  1. The situation turned against you not because you didn’t take any action for him, but because your behavior is unacceptable. I spoke to you and asked you respectfully, and you didn’t bother to reply and just banned me.
  2. stop playing vitcim
  3. tagging you is against the rules? like wtf is this rule i can’t tag the event organizer
it should be no spam tagging which i didn’t do it
second rule use proper channel? isn’t the ticket for reporting a problem? i did used the proper channel
third, stay on topic i didn’t get of topic and the channel called general for a reason

like come on you can’t write a rule drama free as a title and then edit the rule to whatever suits you

4th ““““ you disagreed with the outcome. That’s okay. But instead of moving forward constructively”””” how i should me constructively while being banned for just reporting someone in tickets?
being constructively is when i make sure you won’t get funded again ,so other hard work creators who cares about the communtiy could be funded and get their experience advertised for the next buidler challenge

5th i worte this comment under your experience after getting banned so other players would know before they start playing in your experience what an organizer you are

6th your just playing victim and twisting the truth
you said that you have reduced the reward

While the truth is you’re just a liar with no proof

their is no reward reduction

anyway just an advice if you write rules don’t edit and change them
and if you create an event just be active and don’t ignore your players

AND THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS THAT YOUR EVENT WAS UNPLAYABLE AND BUGGY ALL THE TIME CRASHING AND ALL PLAYERS WASTED 3-4 HOURS IN LOADING SCREEN
all the players kept spam tagging you and you’ve said nothing to them
ofcourse players gonna tag you if your experience full of bugs so that shouldn’t bother you
