Hey @OMOSH !

I’ve approved the max number of onboarding/bootcamps/content creation grants catered to the African region. I won’t be able to approve this one.

Is there another type of grant that you can rescope your effort to?

@Lanzer ,

Thanks for the heads-up — I totally understand that the cap for grants in the African region has been reached.

That said, I’d love to ask for a reconsideration on this one, as it’s a bit different from the typical regional efforts. This initiative is virtual and globally accessible, designed to reach participants not just across Africa but from other underserved regions as well. The scale and flexibility make it uniquely positioned to support a broader onboarding impact beyond geographic limits.

If there’s any room for flexibility, I’d really appreciate the opportunity to explore this further.

Thanks again for your time and all the support

Alrighty :slight_smile:

What regions did you have in mind?

The scale and flexibility

Can you help me understand more of what you had in mind here?

Separate from all of that: Do you have any experience hosting X Spaces or event planning? There’s an open position I’m looking to fulfill for an upcoming Sandbox DAO grants space

@Lanzer

  1. What regions did you have in mind?
    For this bootcamp, our initial focus is on East Africa, starting with Kenya as a pilot. Kenya has a growing base of digital creatives and developers already exploring blockchain, gaming, and NFTs, but many still lack structured onboarding into metaverse ecosystems like The Sandbox.

That said, the format is scalable and replicable, and we’re open to expanding into Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, and Ethiopia—regions where interest is rising but access to structured training remains limited.

  1. The scale and flexibility – Can you help me understand more of what you had in mind here?
    Our current structure is designed for a cohort of 30+ participants over 7 weeks, but it’s modular and can be adapted. For example:

We can scale up or down depending on funding, partner involvement, or regional needs.

The content (Introduction to sandbox, VoxEdit, Game Maker,) can be split into shorter mini-sprints or deep-dive advanced labs depending on participant levels.

We are open to co-creating or modifying the format to align with any strategic direction the DAO or team has in mind.

  1. Separate from all of that: Do you have any experience hosting X Spaces or event planning? There’s an open position I’m looking to fulfill for an upcoming Sandbox DAO grants space.
    We haven’t formally hosted X (Twitter) Spaces before, but we’re excited to learn and step up.

That said, we have experience planning and executing educational events—from live workshops to hackathon-style demo days—and already use tools like Zoom, Telegram, and Discord for coordination and community building.

We’re highly open to taking on this opportunity, and we’d be glad to support or even co-host Spaces if there’s room to grow into that role. If there’s onboarding or guidance available, we’d fully commit to making it impactful.

Sounds good, thanks for taking the time to consider it. Looking forward to your feedback next

OMOSH, I went through your grant again. Apologies, I’m unable to adjust my original evaluation from post #2, grant-rejected

The RFP for Spaces Planner is still open. Please apply to it if you are interested.

Hi @Lanzer ,

Thank you for your feedback on the grant application. While I’m disappointed to hear it was not accepted, I appreciate the time and consideration given.

Could you please let me know if there will be another Sandbox DAO grant season opening soon? I’m eager to continue contributing to the Sandbox ecosystem and would love to stay informed about upcoming opportunities.

Thanks again, and I look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,
OMOSH

Hey OMOSH!

Yes, sorry that this didn’t work out, you come across as a genuine and motivated person. There are 3 other domains that are currently open and accepting of new grants, and there’s still time to be accepted.
