Hey Stancrypto! Thanks for submitting a grant!

Apologies, I’m unable to approve this grant. Community Engagement domain already has grants similar to these.

If you would like to adjust your grant, I invite you to give a brief summary of what else you think you could accomplish. :slightly_smiling_face:

No worries, thanks for considering my grant! :folded_hands: I understand the Community Engagement domain is already saturated. Here’s an adjusted direction:

I could focus on gamification and interactive experiences within The Sandbox, creating engaging tutorials, quests, or challenges that teach Web3 concepts in a fun, hands-on way. This approach would differentiate my grant and provide unique value to the community.

gamification and interactive experience could work. Tutorials, quests, challenges are things already approved in other grants. What other gamification or interactive experiences did you have in mind?

  • Virtual scavenger hunts that reward participants with NFTs or tokens for completing Web3-related tasks
  • Creator competitions where users can showcase their Web3 skills and creations
  • Interactive storytelling experiences that teach Web3 concepts through immersive narratives
  • Social impact initiatives that leverage The Sandbox’s creative tools to raise awareness and funds for social causes

These ideas aim to engage the community in new and innovative ways, while providing unique value to the ecosystem.

This one is interesting. I haven’t approved a virtual scavenger hunt yet. How would you go about this? What would be your plan?

So, the idea is to create a “Web3 Odyssey” where people can explore The Sandbox, complete challenges, and collect NFTs that teach them about Web3 concepts. Here’s how it could work:

  • We’ll have a clue system that leads participants to different locations within The Sandbox. At each spot, they’ll have to complete a task or mini-game that tests their knowledge of Web3 stuff like blockchain and NFTs.
  • When they finish a challenge, they’ll get a unique NFT that unlocks some cool perks, like exclusive content or early access to new features.
  • We’ll keep track of everyone’s progress on a leaderboard, so people can compete with each other and see who’s doing the best.

To get the word out, we’ll run some social media campaigns and partner with influencers in The Sandbox community. We’ll also encourage participants to share their experiences on social media.

After the event, we’ll look at how well it went by tracking participation and gathering feedback from participants. That way, we can see what worked and what didn’t, and make it even better next time.

@Lanzer have been waiting

Which locations did you have in mind?

Exclusive content and early access within the Sandbox? Or to what?

We’ll keep track of everyone’s progress on a leaderboard

Where will this leaderboard be available?

So, the clue system will guide participants to various locations within The Sandbox. What’s the plan for creating these locations? Will they be:

  1. Existing LANDs within The Sandbox?
  2. Custom-built environments?
  3. Interactive experiences?

Some potential locations within The Sandbox could be:

  1. Themed districts: Areas like the Fantasy District, Crypto Valley, or Maker’s Row could be utilized for challenges and clues.
  2. Popular LANDs: Partner with popular LAND owners to host challenges, leveraging their existing audiences.
  3. Interactive hubs:Create central gathering points for participants to access challenges, resources, and community features.
  1. Exclusive content or early access to new features
  2. Special privileges or roles within The Sandbox community
  3. Access to premium events or experiences
  4. Unique items or collectibles

Exactly! Early access and exclusive items can create a buzz and motivate participants to fully engage with the “Web3 Odyssey”. It’s a great way to reward their participation and make the experience even more memorable!

Now, let’s think about how to integrate these perks seamlessly into the experience. What do you think?

  1. Within The Sandbox platform
  2. On a dedicated website for the “Web3 Odyssey”
  3. On social media channels
  • Themed districts. That could work. It’s going to take a lot of effort on your part to create themed districts, similar to The Engtanglement treasure hunt. Unless you already know how to do VoxEdit and GameMaker or are willing to put in 40+ hours a week to figure it out, I doubt you have time to accomplish this. But it’s possible if you spelled out your plan more.
  • Popular LANDs. Partnering with existing experiences (like CyberKongz, FunGuys, etc) is certainly possible, but would require introductions, conversation, and finally someone (you or them) creating the asset that they load into Game Maker, then publish to the Sandbox. This one requires a ton of coordination with people, whereas creating the themed districts takes a lot of technical know-how and effort.
  • Interactive hubs feels the same as themed districts to me because both require publishing through GameMaker

I don’t understand this list, what is it a list of?

What audience are you tapping into to generate this buzz? Take a look at Sandbox’s notion on rewards distribution to get an idea of participation for their official events.

  • Within TSB platform requires coordination with TSB product team. That is unlikely to happen unless you already have a connection to their team.
  • A dedicated website. Does this already exist, or would part of the funding be to develop this website and all the leaderboard plugins?
  • Which social media channels?
