Q1 Name of your Grant
DevQuest: Onboarding the Next Wave of Builders into Sandbox
Q2 Total Grant amount in USD ($)
$2,500
Q3 Evaluation Factor – Specific
This grant funds a focused initiative to onboard new developers into the Sandbox ecosystem through Twitter Spaces, articles, and hands-on tutorials all grounded in my personal experience building with the Sandbox SDK.
The project will deliver:
- A Developer Toolkit with starter templates, setup guides, and SDK walkthroughs
- A series of X Spaces + published articles focused on onboarding, mistakes to avoid, and practical dev tips
- A follow-up build-in-public session using the SDK, showing exactly how to get started and deploy
- A mini bounty challenge to turn new knowledge into actual experiments
A portion of the grant will go toward a PC upgrade to handle streaming, SDK performance, and content creation more efficiently. Current hardware issues (lag, RAM constraints, export delays) prevent me from scaling this content properly.
The goal is simple: onboard more devs by making it easier, clearer, and more exciting to start building in Sandbox.

Q6 Evaluation Factor – Realistic
Most new devs want to build, but don’t know where to start. They’re blocked by:
- Lack of tutorials made for beginners
- No clear roadmap for using the SDK
- Poor local machine performance when testing or exporting builds
This grant directly addresses those issues by:
- Giving devs clear, lightweight starter templates
- Hosting Twitter Spaces to demystify the process and let new devs ask questions
- Writing easy-to-follow articles based on real dev experience
- Building something publicly to show the full flow
- Challenging devs to try it themselves with a bounty
It’s not just about awareness it’s about action. This grant turns inspiration into contribution.
Q7 Evaluation Factor – Timely
All deliverables will be completed before the SGDP deadline of August 30.
While some engagement (like bounty submission review) carries into September, the onboarding and build process will be fully rolled out in time.
- Aug 10 – Toolkit, first article, first X Space, PC upgrade
- Sept 10 – Build-in-public session, follow-up article + X Space
- Sept 29 – Bounty ends + community recap
Each step aligns with a milestone and is public-facing.
