Weekly Program Report — Week 1
Reporting Period: July 7–July 13, 2025

1. Program Overview

This grant program is designed to onboard African students into the Web3 ecosystem through education, community engagement, and practical development opportunities. Our primary goal is to bridge the knowledge gap and empower the next generation of blockchain innovators across the continent.

2. Activities Conducted

a) Campus Visits

• University of Lagos (Tuesday, July 8, 2025)
Visited the Dean of Student Affairs and submitted a formal proposal outlining the objectives, structure, and benefits of the Web3 onboarding initiative for students.
Engaged with student representatives and discussed potential collaboration with relevant student bodies.

• University of Ibadan (Wednesday, July 9, 2025)
Met with administrative staff to introduce the grant program.
Submitted a detailed proposal to the Office of the Dean for review and consideration.
Held informal discussions with student leaders about awareness and onboarding strategies.

3. Proposals Submitted

Two tailored proposals were prepared and submitted:

• University of Lagos — attached as Proposal A

• University of Ibadan — attached as Proposal B

Both documents outline:

• Program objectives

• Target student demographics

• Proposed training modules

• Expected outcomes

4. Key Outcomes

• Established initial contact with the administrative staff at both institutions.

• Had a good interaction with some of the student leaders indicating a strong interest in the program.

• Initiated follow-up channels for further engagement and inquiry.

5. Challenges Faced

• Going through the proper channels and waiting for feedback, with talks of a possible Semester Exam coming up soon, it’s imperative there is a response from the school to properly kick off the program.

• Need for additional materials (presentation decks, onboarding materials) to support follow-up meetings.

6. Next Steps

• Follow up with the Deans’ offices for feedback and approval timelines.

• Prepare detailed onboarding session plans, including training modules and facilitators.

• Design promotional materials to drive student awareness and registration.

• Schedule first awareness workshops for both campuses upon proposal approval.

7. Attachments
