Crypto Elites | Onboarding African Students into Web3 | Blockchain Education & Development
Weekly Program Report — Week 2
Reporting Period: July 14–July 20, 2025
1. Week Summary
This week marked a major milestone in the growth and activation of the Crypto Elites Grant Program. It was a week of progress, real conversations, and administrative breakthroughs. The program is finally gaining formal traction in our pilot universities with the University of Lagos taking the lead in officially adopting and supporting our initiative.
2. Key Updates
University of Lagos – Activation & Registration
On Thursday, July 17, I returned to the University of Lagos for a scheduled follow-up meeting with the Dean of Student Affairs. We had an open and productive conversation where I laid out a clear vision of the program and what we aim to accomplish by onboarding students into the Web3 space.
The result?
The grant program has been officially registered with the university.
Payment was made for activation and logistical clearance.
We secured two full workshop days within the school premises.
An official approval letter was issued by the Dean’s office authorizing our activities on campus.
Even more encouraging, the university has pledged support for our publicity campaign across the school, helping us create awareness and build momentum among students.
University of Ibadan – Ongoing Engagement
On Friday, July 18, I received a call from the Office of the Dean of Student Affairs at the University of Ibadan, inviting me for a follow-up meeting. I’ll provide further updates as soon as the next engagement is finalized.
3. Team Expansion
To strengthen execution, I’ve brought in a few more seasoned Web3 builders to join the core team as tutors and project assistants:

We also made progress on our materials and infrastructure:
Graphic Designer: Currently working on onboarding guides, outreach fliers, logo design, and other visual assets to be used across campuses.
Website Development: We’ve officially contracted a Web3-savvy web developer to build our official site; thecryptoelites.com. Estimated delivery time: 2 weeks.
5. Reflections & Looking Ahead
This week felt like a breakthrough, conversations turned into commitments, and our groundwork is now being transformed into something tangible. We’re building a presence, gaining credibility, and putting together a team that genuinely believes in this mission.
The next phase will involve:
- Finalizing onboarding materials
- Coordinating awareness campaigns
- Preparing for our first on-campus workshops
- Deepening engagement with UI
