I wanted to share my reflection on my first experiences as delegate about the voting on snapshot.
As delegates, we are quite engaged in the discussion on the different SIPs on the forum and we start to know each others a bit better after those exchanges. We are also asked, as much as possible, to comment our voting either on the forum of the DAO or on snapshot to provide transparency. I found this extremely useful and I would recommend to all of you to do the same. This is on top of the forum very useful to connect to each others and to get an extra channel of feedback from the community.
I would also maybe ask the admin team @Cyril , @Geraldine & @theKuntaMC to recommend the big voters that you are trying to onboard to do the same. (not easy I know)
This give me also the opportunity to ask @whalevault.eth (not sure someone from the council is here. @Lanzer tagging you here as you might be able to channel this message.) if they will be willing to share some comments about their voting (maybe already available somewhere). It will be a good opportunity to get to know how the whalevault community want to see TSB evolve and start to connect a bit the communities.
Wassup @kcl ! Yeah I commented a bit about how I’ve gone about building on @Pepe 's attempt to earn their vote for his SIP back in July. I got a proposal passed in their DAO for them to vote on every SIP a couple months ago which is why you see them involved now. They’re mostly a group of art aficionados who bought a lot of land in the early days of sandbox
Below is the post where I recounted how things unfold in their discord, with a few screenshots. I basically post a TLDR of each SIP in their discord, and they deliberate then vote. I did a SANDDAO podcast video on it too.
Hello @KCL I fully agree! Especially as a delegate, it’s important to explain to your “constituent” why you voted in a particular way.
I would also add that it is important for delegates to vote asap on a new SIP. This will give time and a chance to their “constituent” to review their delegates vote, and if necessary, override it.
