Project Overview
We’re building a basic onboarding and educational toolkit to help new users—both players and creators—start using The Sandbox more easily.
This project will include:
• A few short video tutorials
• Simple step-by-step guides
• A Notion-based learning hub
• A feedback loop with early users to test and improve the content
The goal is to help beginners understand what The Sandbox is, how to use the tools, and how to take their first few steps confidently—without feeling lost. -
The Problem
A lot of new users sign up for The Sandbox but don’t know what to do next.
Here are the common issues:
• The tools (like VoxEdit and Game Maker) are overwhelming at first
• Tutorials are often long or too technical
• Most resources are only in English
• People give up quickly because there’s no simple guide or structure
We’ve seen this personally and through conversations in The Sandbox community. The learning curve is just too steep for many. -
Our Solution
We’re keeping things simple and practical.
We’ll create:
• Short video lessons (2–4 minutes) that explain the basics
• A “First Steps in The Sandbox” guide that helps new users get started quickly
• A learning path hosted on Notion to track progress and stay organized
• A simple quiz or checklist to help users confirm what they’ve learned
• A feedback form so we can keep improving based on what works
We’ll start small, test everything with a few real users, and improve as we go. -
How We’ll Measure Success
We’ll focus on a few simple metrics:
• At least 60% of test users finish three or more lessons
• Around 40% take their first action (like creating an avatar or building a simple object)
• We collect feedback from at least 30 users
• Test users ask fewer basic questions in Discord or Telegram
We’ll use Notion or Google Sheets to track everything and share progress transparently with the Sandbox DAO team. -
Timeline & What We’ll Deliver
Here’s the rough plan:
• Month 1: Build the learning structure in Notion, write the outlines, and prepare content
• Month 2: Release the first 3–5 tutorials and publish the “First Steps” guide
• Month 3: Launch a small test group to gather feedback and improve content
• Month 4: Translate the key content into 2–3 languages and release basic certificates for users who complete the journey
We’re not trying to do too much at once. We’ll build slowly and stay focused on quality and clarity. -
Who We Are
We’re a small team with experience in:
• Helping Web3 communities grow
• Creating beginner-friendly content
• Onboarding creators and players into blockchain platforms
We’ve contributed to onboarding in other ecosystems like Solana, Aptos, and The Sandbox community spaces through tutorials and community calls. We know how to make things simple and clear. -
Budget and Sustainability
Here’s how we plan to use the grant funds:
• Content Creation (videos, editing, scripting): $4,000
• Notion Setup and Learning Hub Development: $3,000
• Community Testing and Incentives (rewards for testers): $2,000
• Translation and Subtitling (2–3 languages): $2,000
• Project Management and Tracking (planning, feedback collection, improvements): $4,000
Total Requested Grant: $15,000
After the grant period:
• The guides and videos will remain free and open
• We’ll update the content quarterly with help from the community
• If there’s demand, we may explore advanced workshops or partnerships to continue long-term—but only after we deliver this first phase.
We heard about th Grant on Twitter/X. We’ve been following the community and want to help new people join and enjoy The Sandbox easily.
