This is a lot of time and work that @Lanzer has put into both interviewing and compiling each and every delegate’s profile. Every single interview took at least half an hour and this isn’t even including the prep work that he did beforehand with personalised questions catered to different interviewees.
Kudos to you my man for doing all these. If I had to choose 1 person to be on the delegate’s list, it’d be you. Heck I’ll even gladly delegate some of my delegated VP if I could.
Aww. Thanks Intern. That’s very kind of you to say.
There is definitely a lot of prep work before and after.
Back atcha and the rest of the delegates. The Code of Conduct has you all working at a high standard… and when the voting starts, I have a feeling you’ll know exactly what I’m going through with all the SIP prep work.
I’ve been wondering where I’ll land with the podcast. Right now it’s fun and I’m enjoying all the learning and sharing. The content is very easy with all the new faces and updates.
I know at some point I won’t have a need to produce so many episodes so quickly because it’ll all be normal to us by then.
Yeah definitely. I think you’ve pretty much covered every nook and cranny about the DAO. If you don’t mind some suggestions I do have some.
Reduce the frequency to once a week. Let your viewers have time to digest all the info within the podcast.
Have an opinionated segment, share your real thoughts on current subject matters, however controversial it may be. Maybe even dwell into topics that you feel are worthy for the community to consider but have never been put up for discussion. Even better, get a guest to come onto the podcast weekly to share thoughts with you.
Maybe dwell into matters outside of the DAO but within the TSB ecosystem.
I’m kind of relieved to hear you suggest that I should share my opinion. I’m kind of approaching it with caution. Up until episode 1 of DITS with Kunta and Cyril my opinion was hopeful but not overly positive.
I think once I clear a few more episodes about the ecosystem then I’ll have my thoughts and research arranged in a way that I can share opinions. Right now it still feels too much like I’m guessing.
I think sharing your opinion, not just professional but also personal one (whether you feel a certain proposal benefits TSB and the DAO, what can be improved, etc) is a great way to gain following.
I know my episodes will slow down after the delegates are all posted. I’ve covered a lot of what I wanted to in those 50 episodes.
I find it tough to share an opinion about SIPs… I’m not quite sure why yet. Might be that I want to stay neutral and be a source of info, versus personal opinion … I can’t quite nail down why I feel so hesitant about it
Yeah I got the feeling that you’d want to be the source for neutral information sharing. Seeing as how DITS is also doing the same it might put your podcast and theirs in competition for viewership haha.
I hope you find your niche. You’ll always have me as a follower.
I’m not quite sure yet but I think DITS is focusing more on internal things like DAO Team update…more Admin Team voice. I’m giving it a few episodes before I link up with Kunta to see what he thinks.
I tend to cover more external things like SIP authors, community voices, and process flow maps.
I do have some Special Council and Advisory Board interviews, and I think that might be something I yield to Kunta. But we’ll figure it out.
We’re sharing perspectives from the inside out on DitS (Youtube.com/@TheSandboxDAO), giving updates, responding to the community, and offering more direct access to the Admin team.
Whereas @Lanzer is making observations from the community perspective, diving into discussions that we may not have on DitS, speculating on possible strategic directions, and exploring ideas worthy of consideration but for which we may not have time on DitS.
Community content is important and I’m supportive of his efforts.
I don’t see competition. I see collaboration.
The DitS episode about delegates will be a single episode that has short featured videos of each delegate. Viewers can get exposure to most of the verified delegates in a single 40-minute episode. From there, they can decide who they wanna learn more about and they might want to watch Lanzer’s videos, where we can all direct them…
Fully aligned with this post. I am currently watching both with high interest and definitively think these are complementary content at the moment. Lets see in the future.
