Draining $SAND Pool to nowhere

Hello!
I have a request to the developers, please control the bot farmers. People do not play the game but only farm $SAND using hundreds of accounts. A huge resource of tokens goes to bot farmers, and active players are left with nothing.
I think it would be better to increase the threshold for receiving $SAND rewards in order to take coins from bot farms and distribute them among active players so that only interested players receive rewards. This will be fair.
But now money is being drained down the drain. :pensive:

Very important topic and would be even more important during the final raffle. I am a bit scared that people like you sitting on top of the leaderboard after many effort might be screwed by those.

If we consider that farmers have 300 accounts, and each has 75 tickets, then 1 farmer gets more than 22,000 tickets for the drawing of 1000 SAND. It is impossible to compete with this
but frankly speaking, I don’t expect to win anymore, I just play for fun. If I win, it will be great :+1:

Well I hope you absolutely crush those bot farmers. Here’s me rooting for you :slightly_smiling_face:

This is a very important issue. But it is also very difficult. How will they distinguish between a bot and a normal account?

final prize only for those who have level 30, this will partially solve the problem with bots

Just need to increase your pumping level to qualify for $sand and this will already filter out many bots. Now you can raise your level a little to get free $sand, it is pumped very quickly and coins are taken, the pool is emptied. If there was at least level 20, the process would be more complicated.

Going to get worse now the price of $SAND is to the moon🚀

Bots can’t be allowed…all the projects are taking care of bots.

The team should find out ways to exclude bots… Thanks

But the thing is that they are already withdrawing sand and receiving money

This is an important topic that is worthy of more discussion.

If people here come up with a clever, simple idea that can be operationalized by the TSB team, this would make an amazing SIP. It would get strong support if developed thoughtfully.

I am not a programmer, not a tech guy or not a IT security guy. It is very difficult for a layman to find a solution. What I do not undertsand is that how bots can pass KYC?
And even it is the case, is there no tool to detect experience player vs bots? How bots can play experiences? eg Should be easy track no experiences played 0 reward.
Another idea/ captcha or recaptcha cannot be used at certain stage of the claim process or during the gaming?
Another idea/ are you able to draw a graph about the number of experience connection or gaming time for the season for all players ? If yes you should have a gaussian distribution. And my guess is that with high likelyhood you should be able to see 2 distibutions one for human and one way less distributed for bots see below example. If population are more separated is even easier.

You might not be a programmer, but you’re clearly a smart human! :brain:

This really helps put a framework around how this could potentially be monitored.

My biggest concern is that some people like me might fall into those “bot” metrics since I only play for like 20 minutes every now and then, lol :robot:

We need a developer in here!! :eyes:

True that you might fall under this category and that is the reason that the developper can find in their metrics or combinaison of 2/3 metrics way to separate the population the most effectively. Ideas here / playing time, number of EP, %age of passive EP won (eg/ avatar holder EP) vs active EP won (from experience)… Once you have those population separated at 2 SD you will have only 2.5% of real players that can be considered as bot (some will complain, you check those) some would those trying TSB and leaving after. If you are able to separate further the population you can even go for 3 SD at that moment the risk of considering a human a bot falls to 0.5%. In any case this allow you to remove the vast majority of the bots.

It’s really challenging to filter Bots, I agree… and with this kind of rewards you attract a lot of it. It is just too easy to “farm” TSB, if you really have bad attentions.
With your current Alpha 4 Season, you made some big mistakes in my opinion.
-The Twitter/X challenge isn’t controlled enough. I see every day xx posts, that doesn’t even post a Picture. You are forced to enter your Twitter name to verify the posts, why you didn’t ban people, let’s say, after 3–5 strikes?
-Also take a look, when the people registered on TSB. New created accounts must be handled carefully.
-That you are giving SAND out as a reward is good, but to give it for the first LVLs was also a mistake. Better, first the NFTs and later the Sand. It’s a lot harder to farm, if the Sand rewards are at LVL 20+. First 10 LVL are fast archived.
-Take a look, what Players have actual in their Inventory and maybe track their Wallet overall.

But you maybe generate new Problems, if you are restricting too many real users and are not able to give right support in time. In this case, you will lose a lot of Players over time. Your support at discord su****, they can’t even help and are sending out the same standard msg. Also, your Anti Fraud Team at jsm did a terrible job, if I’m honest. You need just too long to check it probably.
