FUTURE EVENT PAGE on SANBOX.GAME

Could we request an ā€œUpcoming Eventsā€ tab on the events page of the sandbox.game website?
And if that tab included a section for community-organized events, that would be perfect.
Would the DAO help with this?

I’ve moved this idea from :speech_balloon: General to :light_bulb: SIP: Ideas for community discussion.

Any input from @Delegates or @domainallocators or others? :eyes:

This seems like a very simple ask. With community support t might be the most straight-forward SIP possible for the platform.

I am in favor of this, especially for promoting community events. Technically there already is an upcoming event section, which I maybe I can see just because of my elevated account access. I’m not sure why it’s there if regular accounts can’t see it, but there may be some considerations like various draft/approval states needed, especially when dealing with brands. So yes, I think the tools are already there, might just need some tweaks.

I like the community events tab idea.
Scanning Twitter/X for posts with a specific hashtag and a valid sandbox experience page link and displaying them in the tab could be efficient.

Great idea!

Love it.
We just need to think about the technical aspects to make it efficient and convenient.

Hardest part here is curation I think, who is allowed to post events to this page, is there an application process, who manages it, etc.

I think this section should be open to everyone.
But it’s true that this page needs to have a structure that allows everyone to potentially be featured, while still maintaining an organized structure.
There could be a favorites system, where everyone chooses which events to highlight on their page. So each user manage his own page content.
This could be by category, username, brand, single/multiplayer, reward type, etc.
maybe it looks simplier to say than to do, idk

If curation is needed, I believe there’s already someone handling that. I remember seeing the ā€˜Get Featured’ button before, but I can’t seem to find it now.

It used to link to a Google Form that creators could fill out to get featured.
