Improving Tracking of DAO spending. Grant Progress Tracking Platform for SandboxDAO

Having already worked with the DAO and contributed to tracking projects for Sandbox, like SEV, we’d like to share our perspective, both from a technical standpoint and as active members of the DAO.

While the idea has potential, we don’t believe it’s strong enough to justify using treasury funds at this time.

Currently, with:

• Dune Analytics
• The internal Notion site used by TheDAO Core to track milestones
• The Forum
• SEV (in development)
• Snapshot
• Services provided by community members
• And potentially other tools we may be overlooking

…it seems there are already enough resources in place to cover what this proposed platform sets out to do.

A basic platform built with V0 to achieve similar outcomes likely wouldn’t add enough value to warrant funding.

That said, a more complete platform—one that integrates the tools mentioned above, allows tracking of shared revenue from DAO-funded projects, includes issued grants and larger programs like Questbook with the Domain Allocator initiative, offers integrations with the official Sandbox site, and reflects the broader treasury managed by the organization—could provide real value.

If the community sees value in pursuing something more ambitious, we’d be glad to take part in the process and compete for the opportunity to bring that vision to life.
