Including plans for LAND in TSB Roadmap

Thank you for your reply.

The current roadmap is issued irregularly and infrequently. And many features have yet to be implemented. Don’t you agree?

For example, land lending was planned for implementation some time ago. However, it still hasn’t been implemented, and there’s been no sufficient explanation for it.

The feature of combining adjacent lands to form an estate or district has also yet to be implemented.

This proposed roadmap will provide quarterly updates on development progress and future plans, and will explain any features that have not yet been implemented.

It also includes a statement that confidential information should not be disclosed.

This calls for accountability from developers for land investments.

This is the first step toward democratization.

The roadmap that is available now came about because of a June 2024 SIP and the Sandbox Product Team chose to implement it themselves. What you’re seeing is what the Sandbox team is able to do. So what I’m asking is, how will yours produce a different outcome? Not trying to be aggressive or insulting, just wondering

Thank you for your reply.

I understand.
The roadmap’s realization rate was low for land owners.
The content is as follows: (lending, combining land into estates and districts).

What we expect is a regularly published roadmap with appropriate goals and detailed scrutiny of the results.

In the current situation, existing land owners are selling their land, and new entrants are not seeing land as a suitable investment.

The current land floor price is below $200.
Results are everything.

The current roadmap publication status needs to be reconsidered.

We believe that land can in the future have functions similar to real estate in the real world, allowing for income and capital gains.

The roadmap should regularly outline land’s development goals and closely monitor the results.

We believe the sandbox has the potential to grow into a project that will lead Web3.

However, in reality, it is not highly rated by investors.

To make this easier to understand, we will use the market capitalization of SAND as an example. (We cannot provide an exact value for the market capitalization of LAND.)

It used to be ranked around 50th in market capitalization.

It is currently ranked around 150th.

And the price of LAND has fallen significantly against SAND.

We believe that a roadmap with goals for a LAND-centered economy should be regularly published.

The DAO needs to speak out for regular publication of roadmaps for land owners.

The reason is that roadmaps that are published irregularly are published infrequently and have little ability to implement the contents.

Any additional thoughts from community on this?

I think most agree that updates and a working roadmap would be great (ecosystem-wide, not just for LAND).

With the current shifts taking place at TSB, however, we can probably expect updates in regards to development in the weeks or months ahead.

So, we cannot really rush this matter at the moment, as urgent as it feels to any of us.

But this is certainly a topic we can keep alive.

As the DAO admin has ongoing conversation with the dev teams at TSB, we will of course update you in regards to this conversation.

Thank you very much.

We believe that Land has properties similar to stocks.

We bought Land and want accountability.

Please have the DAO admin inform TSB that we, Land owners and new entrants, are not motivated to invest in Land due to the lack of explanation.

Admin is working to re-establish product dev communications as the team at TSB shifts into a new structure of its own. Our goal is only to ask about the Roadmap status, not to relay any view on behalf of the community (as such a position has not yet been formally voted upon).

I will update this thread when @Cyril finds out a bit more.

In the meantime, maybe the best use of energy on this topic, @XiaoLong, is to refine the language of the SIP Idea to make it a concise powerful statement that is easy for all @Delegates and voters to get behind.

Thanks for your reply.

I thought The Sandbox was a company that was proactive and acted quickly.

However, their roadmaps are not published regularly, and I am disappointed by their failure to fulfill their contents. I feel some kind of explanation is necessary. Am I right?

Web3 is moving forward quickly.

The Sandbox’s delays in implementing its roadmap have led to a decline in SAND’s market capitalization.

It used to be around 50th place, but now it’s below 150th.

Land is even worse.

To be honest, I thought The Sandbox’s higher-ups would read this thread and take some kind of action.

But I guess they’re not even looking at it.

Are they not interested in what’s being discussed at the DAO?

Is The Sandbox’s head, Yat Siu, unaware of this thread?

I thought Land had similar functions to stocks.

Are they not accountable to Land owners for failure to fulfill their roadmap?

Is Land inferior to stocks?

I feel a strong sense of crisis. That’s why I titled this thread “Urgent Proposal for Regularly Publishing Roadmaps for LAND Owners and Improving Transparency.” But now, that’s gone.

I used to think land was a great asset.

But now I’m not taking advantage of any of the land features.

Even though I own hundreds of lands…

I’m sad,

Probably not. The execs don’t read every word written on the forum and discord.

The process starts here. Rally community support for your idea.

Please, take into account all of the comments above.

I changed the title from “Urgent Proposal for Regularly Publishing Roadmaps for LAND Owners and Improving Transparency” to something more succinct and clear. Most people feel their ideas are the absolute most urgent, but we have a process before moving every idea up the chain.

I feel you, ser!

It’s very hard to look at charts for assets that you’re having doubts about.

As soon as we have a clear channel of comms open with the relevant dev lead at TSB (where a lot of changes just took place), I will update this thread.

In the meantime, the best things that can be done are:

  1. continue to rally community support
  2. revise the SIP idea into a clear and concise request (based on community input)

If you think the wording of my proposal needs to be changed, would you be willing?
You changed the title, so maybe you can.

I don’t have the energy to do it.

Here’s why:

I own 493 lands, to be exact, across multiple addresses (including my wife and children’s addresses).

About 25% of them are premium land.

I’m probably one of the world’s largest individual land holders.

Several companies own 24 x 24 estates = 576 lands.

My goal in the past was to own more than that.

I was passionate in the past.

I focused on the scarcity of land.

I conducted various research to increase land scarcity.

I then poured my energy into building 2x2 estates to further increase land scarcity. My previous belief was that estates of this size were rare and highly scarce.

So I personally invested my time, energy, and money into it.

I’ve amassed many 2x2 estates. My current total is 61.

Estates larger than 3x3 have a lot of supply.
However, this is not the case for 2x2 estates.
Previously, I built a 2x2 estate and waited a long time for land lending.

However, no matter how long I waited, these features never got implemented.

  1. Land lending
  2. Combining adjacent lands to form an estate
  3. Combining adjacent lands to form a district

These features were planned to be implemented on the roadmap several years ago.

However, they still have not been implemented.
The saddest thing is that the sandbox does not feel accountable for them.

I will only alter a posts title (to make succinct and clear).

As admin, I c̶a̶n̶ (edit: CAN NOT) impose my interpretations or suggestions on community ideas. I can only offer guidance, as I’ve been here, on Discord, and in our DMs.

You are very welcome to form alliances to push ideas and to recruit the help of others who share your vision for the future of TSB (and LANDs in particular).

493 LANDs is over 2.2M VP – you could even start your own delegation and make appeals to other LAND holders to delegate their VP to you…. but, this, too, takes time and commitment.

Maybe I had a wrong understanding of roadmaps.

I used to attach great importance to roadmaps and thought they were worthy of analysis.

In the end, past defaults are ignored and new roadmaps are issued.

Why are there no voices from within the sandbox calling for these corrections?

I fear that the next roadmap will continue to show delays and defaults on important matters.

I wonder if what’s described in the roadmap is just a dream…

I’m similarly skeptical of Land.

I thought Land was a functional NFT.

Capital gains and income gains were possible.

It seems that was just a dream.

No one is being held accountable for delays and defaults.

I used to think Land was a great asset for the future.

But it’s being beaten by stocks, a classic asset.

Let’s face it, stocks outperform Land in terms of functionality.
Accountability, ease of buying and selling, income gains, capital gains…
Especially accountability…

I should have realized this sooner.

If the same thing happens again on the next roadmap, more investors will sell their lands.
And the value of land will fall.

I’m facing huge losses.

I’m facing accountability to my wife and child.

How do I explain this to them?

I bought what I thought was a cheap asset for the future, but it has fallen significantly since then.

I was told it would have great functionality, but it hasn’t even worked after several years.

I have to explain to my family.
Even though the sandbox won’t explain it to me.

What do I say to them?

Do I explain to my wife that your husband is a fool who had sweet dreams about the future?

Do I explain to my child that your father is a bastard who ruined your life?

The Sandbox needs some serious changes.

I hope we hear some good news soon…

It seems like there’s been a lot of changes recently. ! :flexed_biceps:

After speaking with TSB, we’ve learned that 1 (lending) isn’t possible, they’re looking into 2 (forming estates), and 3 (districts) are an artificial construct made by TSB when they launch a land sale, and are based on a themes.

We will continue to emphasize the need for:

  • a regularly updated roadmap that includes LANDs
  • communication from dev teams with updates

Thanks everyone for the patience here! As TSB is undergoing a major transformation right now, this could take a while.

Cannot Land lending???

Is it true?

Will Land lending still be impossible in the future?

This is an important part of my life.

Please let me know.

Please explain this in detail!

Roadmap announcements will be made in September?

So that means today?

Can we expect it?
