@DAO, I was again going through your idea you had earlier this year and would like to have your opinion and others on whether it might not be the good timing to initiate this buy back?
Iād definitely think itās time. However, I believe under the terms, delegates are not supposed to launch any SIPs due to conflict of interest.
However Iād gladly assist anyone that isnāt a delegate, on this matter.
Are you speaking for me? I do not want to be part of SIPs authors but it does not mean I can not comment, contribute or bring ideas that are supporting landowner economics.
You and I are delegates so no wasnāt speaking to you . I meant any other authors whoād like to take over, Iām open to giving inputs.
That is what I thought initially that were you speaking about yourself but could not found your name in the delegation list so I took it for myself. All good
@KCL , meet @DAO, DAO is also known as TheHiddenWalls (The Intern)
@DAO, meet @KCL. KCL is also known as Kurchato.
You are both delegates.
P.S. Congrats on that.
This needs to be launched immediately, prices are getting lower and lower, premium land is now 1105 sand, this is the first time Iāve seen this
Hi All,
As a landowner I would like to raise a concern about the land price floor. Today I do not understand what the DAO is waiting to initiate the land buy back from the market with the budget that was agreed on SIP3. I know that DAO was in negociation to get 300 lands from TSB but honnestly guys this taking way too long!
Whith republic realm selling more than a thousand lands currently and zepeto selling tons of land below the floor what are we waiting? Today you can get those 300 lands easily without negociation for less than 150 kSAND !!
This floor is a serious issue for TSB, how can we expect selling new neighborghood at 1011 SAND while the floor is at 420 SAND?
The King Kong of Skull Island LAND Sale had to be extended by almost 1.5 months to be able to sell all lands, nobody bought the estates on auction sales and I am almost certain that the last of the three Adventure world land sale was delayed because of the low floor.
It is time to react and I will support as delegate all SIPs that will go in the direction of supporting increase of floor of lands (landbuyback, interest rate in SAND for land holder, putting serious budget on landowner stakingā¦)
Landowner are not the most vocal in TSB community but when it is about VP I know that we can make the difference. (eg SIP7).
Cyril replied to this on another thread. It looks like that allocation of budget 2024 was going to be used by TSB liveops team at their discretion. Puzzles me because why route that allocation to the DAO, then reroute it back to TSB if the SAND was going to come from TSB in the 1st place, unless thereās some form of bureaucracy going on.
Tax most probably??
DAO should start to buy lands. Several reasons behinds makes this move rational:
- If DAO is supposed to become on a long term an independant org they should start to be one of the biggest landowner as TSB is currently.
- Strategically protect the DAO by owning a high voting power (ideally higher than Whalevault)
- Support landowner community by maintaining buy pressure on land and ensuring floor is not going too low.
- Having a stock of lands to be able to offer as part of experiences/events or even rent at the end.
Haha
Well I agree with you but based on what Cyril mentioned, it would seem that there isnāt going to be any allocation for that this year.
I agree with you @DAO this category (and some others) do not make sense. When we work on our first DAO budget breakdown for 2024, we took an allowance out of all of the existing budget structures of The Sandbox. Which with retrospect, was not optimum for sure. We are working (and will present soon) much better budget categories.
