Hey all! The Special Council term ends Dec 31st of this month

This is my open brainstorming thread to start writing down a list of things I want to advocate for and accomplish if elected to the Special Council. This is all of my combined experience from DAOing since May 2024, from being on Special Council for Star Atlas DAO, participating in ApeCoin DAO, and going through the SIP process + Domain Allocator in Sandbox DAO :slight_smile:

  1. Livestream public Special Council meetings where build in public. Agenda topics, ranging from DAO goals, action items, accomplishments, SIP voting updates, and SIP draft reviews. This was a HUGE success in the Star Atlas DAO, which is also structured as a Foundation Company like TSB DAO is.

  2. Publish DAO reports from those Special Council meetings (video + meeting minutes), I’ve already published 30+ DAO reports in Star Atlas DAO, so this is something I know is accomplishable and has received a lot of positive feedback

  3. Expand LAND economics by advocating for an RFP to develop a land rental smart contract system.

    • Cameron from GBM confirmed they are able to develop this and I’d like to get it out to the community for competition.

  4. Expand LAND utility by advocating for an RFP to develop estate tokenization of estates. This gives landowners the capability to easily trade, buy, and sell their estates

  5. Identify valuable partnerships of the Sandbox DAO to commercial entities that help the DAO itself. I’ll be targeting partnerships that give the DAO passive income.

    • UnVault for cross-chain LAND usage with SandChain and reward system, link to analysis
    • DAObase.ai or DeepDAO embedded statistics into our dashboard
    • TLDR bots

  6. Advocate for researching the charter of a Sandbox Business Association (SBA), which would be like a Chamber of Commerce

  7. Advocate for an RFP to an external developer team to provide write-ups of actionable fixes for Game Maker and Game Client crashes that we can forward to the Sandbox Product Team

    • …crashing is a consistent thorn in player and gamer maker sides, it hinders a fun gameplay experience and the developing of those fun experiences.

  8. Bounty system My above bullet addresses this but I get the feeling that an automated bounty payout would be beneficial. I need more familiarity with the sandbox product team to know how reasonable it is to request their participation

A couple highlights from memory

  • UnVault creates duplicate collections on multiple chains (Ethereum, Polygon, Solana, ApeChain) that mirror the metadata from the original chain. One NFT token exists in multiple chains but can only be used on one at a time.
  • Users go to the UnVault website and “unlock” their NFT on the chain of their choice. All other chains are then “locked” to the NFT, making sure that the NFT can be used only on one chain at a time. This is an easier and more efficient way than bridging across chains (no burning is done).
  • Users pay the transaction fee.
  • UnVault pairs with a program called Divit, which can calculate and airdrop rewards based on customizable criteria (like trading, buying, selling that that NFT on a chain)

Use case:

  • Through UnVault: Sandbox LAND can exist on Polygon, Ethereum, Solana, and SandChain. Users can freely lock and unlock their LAND or Assets across chains WITHOUT needing to bridge.
  • Through Divit: We can choose to give rewards to SandFam who vote with their LAND. We could give extra rewards for SandFam who vote with their LAND on SandChain.
