LI:LY - "Agarthi: The LI:LY–Sandbox Bridge"

1. Executive Summary

Agarthi: The LI:LY–Sandbox Bridge is a Web3 integration project connecting the LI:LY DApp (Polygon) with The Sandbox to create a two-way flow of value between the two platforms.

The narrative experience Agarthi: The Hope of Lily becomes a gateway for Sandbox users into LI:LY’s ecosystem, while LI:LY’s existing Polygon community can directly access the game and Sandbox experiences using their existing wallets.

Main Goal:

  • Synchronize NFT collectibles and player data between LI:LY (Polygon) and The Sandbox.

  • Enable in-game unlocks in The Sandbox based on LI:LY on-chain assets.

  • Host cross-platform events with leaderboards and rewards in both SAND and Polygon NFTs.

Benefits:

  • Onboards LI:LY’s active Polygon community into The Sandbox.

  • Extends the visibility and utility of Sandbox assets into an external Web3 platform.

  • Demonstrates a working model of NFT interoperability across two ecosystems.

2. Problem Statement

Currently, narrative experiences in The Sandbox are siloed:

  • In-game NFTs often have no function outside the Sandbox environment.

  • Strong Web3 communities like LI:LY, with rich lore and user engagement, lack a direct bridge to The Sandbox metaverse.

This limits interoperability and cross-platform adoption:

  • Sandbox users never discover the depth of LI:LY’s story and collectibles.

  • NFTs generated in-game remain trapped within one ecosystem.

  • External communities lack motivation to engage with assets that cannot travel between worlds.

3. Proposed Solution

A Polygon ↔ Sandbox bridge that:

  1. Synchronizes NFTs and narrative items

    • Collectibles earned in Agarthi (petal, cube, backpack, voice recordings) are also minted as Polygon NFTs within LI:LY.

    • LI:LY NFTs unlock bonus in-game content in The Sandbox (skins, asset variants, bonus areas).

  2. Cross-platform leaderboards

    • Scores and game progress from The Sandbox are pushed on-chain to Polygon smart contracts and displayed inside the LI:LY DApp.
  3. Interoperable events

    • Seasonal challenges with mixed rewards: Polygon NFTs + SAND prizes.
  4. Unified wallet access

    • Log into Sandbox experiences using an existing LI:LY Polygon wallet connection via WalletConnect.

Key Technologies:

  • Polygon smart contracts for NFT minting, burning, and metadata sync.

  • Sandbox API & Game Maker scripting for on-chain data handling.

  • WalletConnect for unified cross-platform login.

  • IPFS for shared metadata storage.

  • Event webhooks for real-time leaderboard synchronization.

7. DAO Alignment & Impact Measurement

Alignment:

  • Implements SIP-25 vision for interoperability between Web3 ecosystems.

  • Increases exposure for Sandbox assets in external Web3 platforms (LI:LY on Polygon).

  • Strengthens retention through cross-platform events and dual rewards.

KPIs:

  • ≥ 1,000 NFTs synced Polygon↔Sandbox within 30 days of launch.

  • ≥ 2,000 unique users entering Sandbox via Polygon wallet.

  • ≥ 10 cross-platform events hosted in Year 1.

Hello @TheDag

Thank you for submitting your proposal. Unfortunately, the program pilot ends in the next 20 days, so the milestones aren’t feasible in this timeframe. Additionally, the maximum grant is 50k SAND (approximately 15k USD), so it also doesn’t meet the budget requirements. I invite you to submit this proposal as a SIP instead.

Cordially,
