    I am a multi game jam winners, the founder of Alamaya Studios and have been a creator since late 2021. I also previously served as a Game Designer at Smobler, where I was the lead designer of the award-winning game 3VEREST: The Edge. Most recently, I co-founded a new studio, Voxel Factory.

    To my knowledge, this is the only rhythm-based experience on The Sandbox where the gameplay is tightly synchronized with the music, offering a truly immersive and innovative mechanic. It won the 2nd place in the Discovery Game Jam.

    Inspired by the game “Ship of Fools” I was able to create a multiplayer game with an epic boss fight at the end. It won the 3rd place in the Friendship Game Jam. This title is also currently being reworked with new levels & arts to be part of the Alpha Season 6.

You’ve been abducted by aliens — not for science, but for pure chaos and comedy. Now you’re trapped on a massive alien treadmill, forced to run non-stop to generate energy as part of a bizarre galactic experiment.

Dodge outrageous obstacles created by mischievous aliens, and build up enough power to overload their ship and blow it to pieces!

Enjoy the absurdity as aliens giggle, taunt you, and push your limits with traps only an alien prankster could invent.

But here’s the twist: the longer you survive, the more energy you generate — and that just might be their biggest mistake.

    It’ll be based on our previous endless running experience, Bomkus GJ - Energy Run, with proven working mechanics. We’ll make a rework with new concept on art direction, UI, difficulty curves, and narratives.

3. Motivation

  • Why are you applying for support from The Sandbox?
    With support from The Sandbox, we will be empowered to continue developing high-quality, immersive experiences that elevate the overall standard of the metaverse. Additionally, the grant will enable us to expand community engagement by organizing meaningful events for our growing Discord community of 250+ members, as well as the wider SANDFam audience without relying solely to the Builder’s Challenge to keep the community active. This support is critical to sustaining our momentum and delivering long-term value to the ecosystem.

  • Why did you choose to build this project in The Sandbox?
    We see great potential in The Sandbox as a platform, especially for projects that prioritize depth, replayability, and player engagement. Currently, many experiences tend to be single-session gameplay with no meaningful reason to replay besides on seasonal EP farming in Alpha Seasons. Our goal is to challenge that norm by creating a compelling, replayable experience that offers players a reason to keep replaying. We believe this project can serve as a benchmark for what truly engaging and replayable experiences can look like in The Sandbox.

6. Future Plans & Sustainability

  • What are your plans for maintaining or expanding the project after launch?
    Following the launch, we plan to host a four-week leaderboard event with $SAND rewards funded by this grant. This event is designed to drive player engagement and establish a competitive community around the experience. Additionally, our team has access to the latest internal Game Maker builds, allowing us to stay ahead of public releases and ensure the experience remains fully compatible with all upcoming updates. This proactive approach enables us to implement new features and optimizations as soon as they become available.
  • Do you have a monetization strategy?

    We plan to create and sell common NFTs as “entry tickets” to seasonal (monthly) events. Each NFT grants access to one event and becomes invalid for future entries once used, encouraging continuous participation and re-engagement. Importantly, 80% of the NFT sales will be reinvested into the prize pool for these events, directly benefiting the player community and creating a sustainable reward system that fuels long-term interest.
  • How do you plan to attract and retain players over time?
    This game will be our primary entry in future Builder’s Challenge where we’ll use some percentage of the earning as a community leaderboard reward, so the existence of the experience will stay. By combining regular competitive seasons, attractive rewards, and a high-replayability design, we aim to foster a dedicated player base and continuously grow our audience within The Sandbox ecosystem.

Hi @MasPepper, let’s move forward with this. We are currently in the process of getting a new KYC link, and KYC is needed for the first invoice to be processed. I will let you know as soon as the new KYC link is available.

One note on the milestones in your GDD, this program closes at the end of August, so it would be best to have that milestone complete on August 29th (a Friday) if possible.

Only the person receiving the money needs to be KYC’d. You are responsible for where the money goes after that.

It mainly covers:

  • Progress on level designs and assets
  • Some core logics like progressively harder obstacles, HUD refinement, screen upon beating previous high-scores (visual still WIP), etc.

I believe we’re still on track with the timeline and milestone. The game should be a fully playable experience next week with the addition of property assets, visuals, more obstacles, a shop system (equipment and boosts), and effects (VFX and SFX).

First version of our experience is now live for the Milestone 4 update!

It’s showcasing:

  • Full playthrough (Complete game & level design)
  • Game intro cutscene, complete menu, & new high-score scene
  • Shop system (in the video the game was set to start with 600 coin to demonstrate the shop logic)

We’ll begin internal QA and continue polishing and balancing the game in preparation for the beta check next week. Feel free to test it out when you have time!

Hello,

We’ve completed QA testing on our end for the beta check and now have the fully polished experience ready, with no more bugs to our knowledge. Change logs can be found in the latest slide of our GDD.

We are currently working on the trailer, experience page completion, and other required campaign materials. Marketing is scheduled to begin on the 29th, as per our last milestone target, and we are aiming for the event to start on Monday, 1st September. This should provide enough time for a public test before the event begins.

Expect another update here in two days once we’ve completed the final milestone. At that time, we’ll also send the invoice for the 5th and last milestone :slightly_smiling_face:

Reporting in for our final milestone:

The event will go live on Monday, 1st September, with additional campaign posts scheduled for that time. We’ll shortly send the invoice for the 5th & final milestone, $SAND (Community Reward) & $USDC invoice will be sent separately.

We’ll keep you updated here with weekly result metrics to track progress against the KPI.
