1. Project Overview
This project seeks to onboard and empower a new wave of Kenyan creators, students, and developers into The Sandbox metaverse through a structured, 6-week virtual bootcamp. Our goal is to provide accessible, beginner-friendly education around Game Maker, VoxEdit, NFTs, LAND ownership, and the broader Sandbox creator economy. Through live workshops, Q&A sessions, and practical assignments, we will train at least 30 participants to actively participate in Sandbox as builders, designers, and digital entrepreneurs.
Hosted by an experienced team of Web3 educators and 3D creators, this program will be conducted via Zoom, Discord, and Twitter Spaces, ensuring inclusive, hybrid access. Top-performing participants will receive Sandbox-branded NFTs and tokens to encourage long-term engagement
2. Problem Identification
While Kenya has a fast-growing Web3 user base, there’s currently a major gap in education and onboarding for metaverse platforms, particularly Sandbox. Local students, digital artists, and game enthusiasts lack structured access to learning Sandbox-specific tools like VoxEdit and Game Maker, preventing them from participating in or earning from one of the fastest-growing digital economies. Without targeted support, The Sandbox risks missing out on a vibrant creative community eager to join but lacking guidance, exposure, and incentives.
3. Solution Approach
Our solution is to host an six-week digital bootcamp to educate and onboard Kenyan creators into The Sandbox ecosystem. The program will include:
- 6 live workshops (hosted on Zoom and Twitter Spaces)
- Hands-on sessions using VoxEdit and Game Maker
- Tutorials on how to mint assets as NFTs and list them on Sandbox Marketplace
- Educational content on LAND, monetization, and governance in The Sandbox
- Incentivized participation through NFTs, SAND tokens, and certification
- A final “Creator Showcase” where participants demo what they’ve built
The bootcamp will use a community-first approach, powered by Discord and Telegram groups, and ensure sustainability by creating reusable learning content and mentorship pathways.
4. Impact Measurement
The success of this program will be measured through the following key performance indicators (KPIs):
- 30+ participants onboarded into The Sandbox Discord and platform
- 6 sessions conducted with 70% average attendance rate
- 6+ asset submissions using VoxEdit or Game Maker
- 3+ NFT uploads to Sandbox Marketplace or mock demos
- Post-bootcamp survey with a 75% satisfaction rate
- 3 standout projects featured during a live final showcase
We will also track community growth, project continuity, and engagement via Discord and social media
