- Project Overview
I propose to create a 5-episode educational video series and accompanying articles aimed at demystifying The Sandbox ecosystem for creators, educators, students, and especially African users who are new to Web3 and the metaverse. The content will focus on onboarding users, introducing them to The Sandbox’s creative tools, land economy, game maker, and monetization opportunities. This project’s goal is to lower the barrier to entry for underrepresented creators by delivering engaging, beginner-friendly content across video and text formats. The series will be distributed on social media, YouTube, and educational platforms, optimized for mobile viewers in low-bandwidth regions. Ultimately, it will help foster a new generation of Sandbox creators from Africa and other emerging markets.
- Problem Identification
Many creators, especially from Africa and developing regions, struggle to understand or access the tools within The Sandbox due to a lack of localized, accessible education. This leads to lower participation from diverse communities. Additionally, many onboarding materials assume a base knowledge of Web3 or gaming logic, which discourages new users. From personal experience managing communities and observing regional creators, there is a significant demand for beginner-friendly, practical content that explains The Sandbox in simple, engaging formats—especially via video. Without tailored education, these users remain sidelined from meaningful participation.
- Solution Approach
The proposed solution is a beginner-friendly content series made up of:
5 short video episodes (2-5 minutes each) covering
-
Intro to The Sandbox & the Metaverse
-
Wallet Setup & Account Creation
-
Exploring LAND, Assets & Avatars
-
Using Game Maker: Create & Publish
-
Earning Opportunities & Next Steps
5 written articles (one for each episode) that summarize key points and provide links/resources.
The series will use storytelling, screen recordings, and voiceovers to simplify complex ideas. All content will be mobile-optimized, clear, and culturally relevant to African creators, with relatable language and examples. Unlike existing content, this approach will target digital education gaps and offer continuity from introduction to action.
- Impact Measurement
Success will be tracked using the following metrics:
Metric Target
Video views (across platforms) 5,000+ total views
Article reads 1,500+
Completion rate (watched full series) 40%+
Social media engagement (likes, shares, comments) 800+ combined
Inbound messages/feedback 50+ comments or inquiries
Additional metrics may include content shares by influencers or mentions by educational/creator communities.
- Technical Implementation & Timeline
Milestone Deliverables Expected Completion Date % of Total Grant Request How to demonstrate
#1 Finalized content script & outline Month 1 15% ($225) Shared Notion/Google Doc with episode outlines
#2 Video episode 1 & article 1 published Month 2 20% ($300) Public links + video performance screenshots
#3 Episodes 2–3 & articles 2–3 published Month 3 30% ($450) Public links + engagement metrics
#4 Episodes 4–5 & articles 4–5 + project report Month 4 35% ($525) Final uploads + impact summary + public access to materials
- Team Qualifications
I am a solo digital content creator, Web3 educator, and community builder with a focus on onboarding African users into blockchain ecosystems through engaging content. I’ve previously created similar educational campaigns on platforms like Base, TON, and Spicenet, helping simplify complex blockchain concepts for first-time users through storytelling and video. Though I’ve not contributed to The Sandbox ecosystem yet, this project represents a meaningful first step in expanding educational coverage to new regions and demographics.
- Budget Allocation & Sustainability
Category Amount

Video Production (editing tools, voiceover) $800
Article Writing & Formatting $200
Distribution (ads, social boosts, thumbnails) $250

Total: $1,500
After the grant period, the content will remain publicly available, and I will continue to promote it through partnerships with creator hubs, local universities, and Web3 events. Future updates or translations can be pursued based on user feedback.
