I support this SIP for Korea Blockchain Week 2025, as it presents a strategic opportunity for The Sandbox to expand its presence in Asia, engage with key stakeholders, and showcase its platform to a diverse Web3 audience. The planned activities, such as live demos of Game Maker and VoxEdit, a major announcement, and networking with creators, investors, and KOLs, align well with the goal of ecosystem expansion in a high-impact market like South Korea.

How will The Sandbox ensure that the event’s content and messaging are tailored to resonate with the specific cultural and market dynamics of the South Korean Web3 and gaming community to maximize engagement and partnership opportunities?

I believe this event is very meaningful. I think we should support this event for the development of The Sandbox platform.

I’ve seen impressive work from fellow Korean creators, the annual event would help recognize their talent and bring in more people.

Hello Everybody,

I am Tan the Founder of The Metaverse Street Journal. We also create the weekly “The Sandbox Show” as seen on YouTube, X, LinkedIn and our Website.

We are also an official Media Partner to most Blockchain and Web3 Events including WebX Asia in Tokyo and Korea Blockchain Week in Seoul.

We specialise in Livestreaming and Covering Events.
If the SIP writers and TSB DAO would like we can also live stream this event online so the TSB DAO and SandFam can participate in it remotely, since we will be in Seoul for KBW.

Here is the Livestream we did as a Media Partner to G20 Summit for Gaming:

Here is the Livestream we did as a Media Partner to Japan International Metaverse Conference at Waseda University ii 2024:

Here is the Livestream we did as a Media Partner to WoW Summit Bangkok 2024:

We also signed an MoU and are the exclusive Live streaming Media Partners to WoW Summit in Hong Kong in September.

I have closely worked with The Sandbox India, The Sandbox Japan and a few others in terms of hosting X spaces, IRL Events and more.

If this is something we can help with, happy to help.

Also, specifically since this SIP has a unique purpose and Target:
Big announcement (The Sandbox achievements, Future plan), AMA section, Fireside chat

  • Target Audience: Creator, Content player(Gamer), Investor, Media, KOL, Partner, Community and Web3 people

It would be helpful to have an in-house Media Partner that can Livestream the Fireside Chat / AMA’s and Announcements.

This would help non-attending KOLs / Media Partners who may not be from Korea or in korea but can pick up that information instantaneously as well.

Here are some moments that I had captured from Sandhouse Event in Bangkok, which was organised on the Sidelines of WoW Summit, DevCon in November 2024. I attended this in my personal capacity and not as a Media Partner for the event.

There were many things I couldn’t capture, but people played games, heard fireside chat, their were KOLs, Sandbox Ambassadors, Studio Partners, UGC Creators.

You could even play the games by TSB Game developers.

P.S. This was during Alpha Season 4.

My vote is yes. The Sandbox Korea community has always stood out for the incredible quality of its creations within the ecosystem. We need to connect and expand our communities in Asia, as they are a fundamental audience for video games and web3.

Totally Agree on this! Also to note, Korea’s Metaverse & Web3 Sector is pretty advanced and filled with top Notch creators

Wow, I had no idea you were so involved and present at these conferences!

Is the scrolling marquee you or someone else?

Whoa! Do I see Michael Wagner from Star Atlas at the Sandbox event? What’s your familiarization with him? I’m on the DAO Council for Star Atlas and he is that game’s CEO, similar to Seb is COO for the Sandbox.

Tan, are you a Sandbox Ambassador yourself?

Yes, that was one of the Livestream Scene Layouts as per the wishes of G20 Summit. Since we were a crypto first Media the Idea to add Metaverse Tokens like $SAND and other was an idea by us. We are able to do this.

Yes, That is indeed Michael, we had a long conversation and even an interview with him  Our regular workings with Star Atlas and him is in the capacity of a Media Specific Media company, we also work with Blockchain Game Alliance for Media & PR.

Wow, Amazing I didn’t know that you work with Star Atlas DAO.

Also, not just him Chin Yaul of W3GG was also there at this event. It was one of the top events on the sidelines of WoW Summit/DevCon in Bangkok.

Not yet, I had applied in SIP-11 but was not successful. Hopefully, in the future.

We have full work capabilities work with tech events including multi stage live streaming, multi angle live streaming, after movies, interviews, setting up of Mobile News Rooms at Events, it all depends from event to event. Certain big budget events want everything, other smaller events want the basic stuff.

Now, we have even started worked on Livestream-as-a-service where we work with conference event organisers where they can sell the ad-slots in livestreams in collaboration with us.

Since, we do go to alot of events, if I am in the city, we do cover many events on a volunteer basis too, specially very early stage startups, or non profits unless we have overhead costs - but we try to work with most organisations in the best way that we can.
This year, I will also be going to WebX Asia in Tokyo where Seb is also speaking.

Last year, I had organised “The Metaverse Economic Forum” a community led Meetup with TSB Japan when Upland Me and The Sandbox had announced an Partnership/Collaboration as I also work very closely with Upland me. This was fully organised by us at MSJ.

That’s really cool! Do you have a link to the interview? I didn’t see it on your X .

Yeah I was elected to the DAO council a couple months ago. We started doing public council meetings on Saturday and post them to both Star Atlas TV and my channel. I want to end up doing that on Sandbox DAO Council too.

Yeah I applied too and wasn’t successful :frowning:

That’s pretty impressive. :slightly_smiling_face: Are you the coauthor of this SIP?

Yes, it’s not public yet. If you really want I can show you privately.

Ohh Congratulations! That’s a great idea.

We have to be hopeful.

No, but I am working on one as we speak.

I just had Jason and Younghoon from TSB Korea on Spaces.

So sorry to JB (to whom I tried to throw a mic with no luck)

Spaces was giving us a hard time with hearing each other for the first 10 minutes, but the recording here should be useful for voters nonetheless.

@Tan_MSJ joined and asked a few good questions about media partners.

And the TSB Korea team made a strong case for this SIP.

THANK YOU to everyone for DAOing so hard here :flexed_biceps:t4: SAND strong!

I voted yes to SIP-30 and supported the Token2049 event, but I’m not sure we should be doing more conferences. Sandbox isn’t hurting in new registrations, it’s hurting in player retention.

I sort of differ on this Lanzer. My take is that we should be making these events for the SandFam and then invite newer people.

Which means:

  • Massive amount of Booths
  • Majority of booths to SandBox Creators
  • Actually teach a 1 day workshop on existing users or new users of End-to-End Game Maker for someone who knows nothing to someone with a decent level of Game Maker user case hands on experience that they could play around and work with youtube self guided tutorial)
  • Actually teach 1 day workshop in VoxEdit - same concept as above teach end-to-end to someone who knows NOTHING about VoxEdit.
  • By Pursuing this we will directly increase the pool of creators with skiils who can participate in Game Jams and Vox Edit Contests
  • Also do work shop of Game/Experience Design Mechanisms - Atleast the planning bit of making a game end-to-end
  • Showcase SandFam Projects
  • A Sandbox Ecosystem Startup Pitch Event - Where new or fairly new developers can pitch their startups to TSB & TSB DAO Executives, Community Members, Sandbox Develop Studios.

Basically to make it into a Conference + Expo + Trade Show + Skill Learning Workshop + Networking Event.

Have one Event with 5-6 different rooms with 5-6 different activites going on simultaneously for an entire day.
I am sure for workshop we can even structure it in such a way that you pay a 200 $SAND Fees (Fully refundable - to ensure we don’t have no-shows for those guided workshops) Refund that once the Learner submits their first unique Game Design or Vox Edit Asset - Showing with proof that they have learnt the skills in the workshop (The Purpose of the workshop)

IRL Phygital Events specially when you mix Physical + Digital can have immense value when and if executed properly.

The ideal is the attendees should gain something that adds value to them and to TSB and TSB DAO Ecosystem that is measurable.

If we fund such workshops in these events - my guess is (with reaason) that we will have much much more participants in the Game Maker and Vox Edit contests going forwards once we teach more people the skills how to use these tools.

Similarly, we could have something for KOL’s or Content Creators, PR & Marketing workshops for creators.

If we fund Side Events, we can also grab High Value Early Adopters and Key Decision Makers from the Industry who attend these Tier 1 Blockchain Events from around the world.

What I would say is it depends.
It depends how productive these side event are to growing the TSB and TSB DAO ecosystem.

It should satisfy almost all of the following:

  1. Does this bring a big amount of new KYC’d signups of users who will use TSB Regularly (We can tie this with a small SAND Reward initially for new users to incentivise them to get familiar with TSB - lets say for these special accounts with 90 hours of Gameplay + minimum 10 differennt experiences in TSB for example you get like 10 SAND or something)?
  2. Does this empower existing TSB Users to engage more in the TSB Ecosystem by teaching them development or Marketing tools?
  3. Are there real trackable and measurable OKR & KPI Metrics which can be measured and the results presented after the event but the metrics defined before?

If the majority of the above is yes, or somewhere along the lines of Yes.

I think, funding a side Events to a Major Blockchain & Web3 conference is a Major additive benefit to both SandFam, TSB & TSB DAO.
So, I am voting Yes, and would still vote Yes in future to side events of Major Blockchain conferences when there is a clear agenda and a clear target of what we will achieve by the Event similar to how it has been outlined in SIP-31.

This is the event that crypto traders are most interested in in Korea. I actively agree with this opinion.
