An idea here: we could use the affiliate gold badge, similar to the one you’re suggesting, the only difference it would say ‘Affiliated with the Sandbox’
only 600 per year, and you can add as many as you want!
whatever SC or AB members wish to sport the DAO logo
So, X = apx 20
20 x $600 = $12k
$12k + $12k = $24k / year w/ 20 affiliates
RISK:
Giving affiliate badges to accounts not under contract is risky because it ties the DAO’s brand to people whose activity we cannot monitor. If they post offensive or misleading content, it can damage the DAO’s (and The Sandbox’s) reputation.
What I meant was, rather than the DAO buying the gold checkmark, I think it could be better to get affiliated with the main TSB account for $600/year.
As for Delegates and staff, they can still get the affiliation, but using a different color logo or badge instead of the Gold check.
For example:
Individuals affiliated with a Verified Organization (e.g., employees) typically receive a blue checkmark (via X Premium) and an affiliation badge showing the organization’s logo.
Organizations or sub-brands affiliated with the main Verified Organization may receive a gold checkmark if they are separate entities, or a blue checkmark if they are individual accounts.
Government-affiliated accounts may receive a gray checkmark.
Update:
The TSB itself is affiliated, I guess we have to ask Animoca!
I want to stay with the gold checkmark. Reason being: TSB is owned by Animoca, TSB DAO is not (to my knowledge). I think there’s a good reason to keep those separate. That’s some great thinking Dr.M.
This episode is a great one .. Should be mandatory to watch for new DAO members
Affiliation wouldn’t necessarily mean being owned, getting affiliated with the parent(s) company would bring some sort of visual legitimacy to the DAO’s image. It’s not like we need it, but I think it would add value.
But to your point, they can definitely stay separate, 22K for two years isn’t too much for this SIP… btw, would this SIP include the checkmarks for Delegates and Staff ?
