2 Project Overview
The Project Nebula in Ethverse is a fast-paced, puzzle-driven game set in a collapsing multiverse. You play as an adventurer who enters the Ethverse, a mysterious universe facing imbalance. Within its eighth world, reality is unraveling — and only the ancient power of Nebulas can restore stability.
To save this world, players must navigate through collapsing mazes, collect Nebulas, and restore balance before everything falls apart. The challenge intensifies with every level as floor tiles vanish faster, forcing quick thinking, sharp reflexes, and smart pathfinding.
Key Features
1.Maze-based gameplay across 10 hand-crafted levels
2.Floors disappear in timed loops, increasing difficulty over time
3.Nebulas act as cosmic energy.
4.Strategy, timing, and movement are key to progression
5.Each level features distinct sci-fi visuals and color palettes
6.Designed for a full experience within a single 1x1 land
7.A visually immersive and concept-driven game built with depth and purpose

What I Am Requesting
I am requesting for the completed development of The Project Nebula in Ethverse. The entire game including all voxel assets, logic, level design, concept creation, polish, and testing has been built solely by me.
Total Cost of Production — $3500 USD
Concept, Narration & Game Design
The game started as a space-themed maze survival concept with disappearing floors and collectible Nebula Cores. I built the core idea, narrative tone, and gameplay loop. Players enter the Ethverse, guided by a mysterious drone that introduces the world without over-explaining, setting up a fast-paced, immersive experience.
Logic & Systems
All logic was built from scratch — including timed floor drops, alarms, quest triggers, and collectible progression. Modular level layouts are dynamically teleported in real time. A tutorial area with its own interactive logic system is also in development (included in cost).
Level Design
Each of the 10 levels was first blocked out, tested, then built with detailed wall presets. Levels 8–10 span nearly the full land size. The tutorial zone is being designed separately to introduce mechanics smoothly, with custom layout and logic.
Asset Creation
Custom wall tiles in five sizes and multiple variants were created, along with themed floors, traps, portals, props, and more. New lightweight assets for the tutorial area are also being added, focused on guidance without clutter.
QA & Polish
Each level underwent extensive testing — refining trap timing, logic flow, respawn handling, and visuals. Ongoing QA and updates are planned post-launch based on player feedback.
Community Engagement & Visibility — $1500 USD
Includes setup and solo management of Discord, social channels, daily contests (Twitter & Discord), regular updates, and player interaction. Promotional work includes banners, tweets, clips, and a gameplay trailer to keep the community engaged before and after launch.
Total : $5000 USD
In addition, I’m requesting 6,000 SAND to host a one-week leaderboard-based event.
5000 SAND will be distributed among the top 20 players based on their in-game performance, while the remaining 1000 SAND will support marketing and community engagement through Twitter and Discord mini challenges throughout the event.
Marketing & Community Engagement (1000 SAND From 6000 SAND)
Community Contest Zone – Daily Fun & Micro-Rewards!
This section is dedicated to running engaging micro-contests, mini-events, and raffles throughout the event week designed to reward active players and build community hype across Twitter and Discord.
Twitter Contests
• Complete the game → Post proof (screenshot of 10+ levels)
• Tag friends, retweet challenges, or share your favorite moment etc.
• Quick, simple tasks for easy SAND rewards
Discord Contests (More effort-based)
• Post your best run or highest level achieved etc.
• Participate in daily discussion-based tasks or fun mini-games
• Earn a chance at raffles and priority rewards
Rule:
One person cannot win both Twitter & Discord contests per day.
If someone qualifies for both, their Discord entry will be prioritized since it requires more effort.
Leaderboard Rules
-
Finish All 10 Levels
you must complete all levels to be eligible. -
Submit Final Screenshot
Show your total Nebula collected + The final victory screenshot. -
Google Form Only
All entries must be submitted through the official form. -
One Spot Per Player
You can play multiple runs, but only your best one can be submitted, no duplicate rewards. -
Tiebreaker
If there’s a tie, whoever submitted first in Google Form gets the higher rank -
Final Leaderboard Victory will be determined by the total number of Nebulas collected plus successfully completing all 10 levels and reaching the Victory Platform.
Game codes:
- To prevent photo editing or fake entries, each run displays a unique daily game code (a mix of letters and numbers).
- The game code changes every 24 hours, and submissions without the correct code for the day will be disqualified.
- This ensures that only real and timely runs are accepted.
- Simple, secure, and fair leaderboard.
Reward Distribution
-
All leaderboard and community event rewards (including Discord and Twitter contests) will be sent out after the event concludes.
-
Please allow 1–2 weeks for verification and processing of all entries before payouts are made.
-
Winners for micro-events (Discord raffles, Twitter challenges, etc) will be announced daily, but rewards will be delivered together after 1–2 weeks for verification and processing of all entries.
Disclaimer
- By participating, players confirm that they are above the legal age required in their country for skill-based, reward-driven activities. Participants are fully responsible for ensuring their own eligibility.
- This condition will also be clearly stated in the official Google Form.
Do you have previous experience building this type of game?
- Yes, I previously built Escape the Chaser, a maze-based game that was part of Builders Challenge 3.
It inspired parts of this project, though the gameplay and logic here are distinct — focused on timed tile collapse and loop mechanics.

3. Motivation
Why are you applying for support from The Sandbox?
The Project Nebula in Ethverse is a solo-built, fully developed game created to offer a fun, challenging, and community-focused experience. I’m applying for support to help scale the project, run a fair leaderboard event, and contribute to the growing library of creator-driven content within The Sandbox.
Why did you choose to build this project in The Sandbox?
I chose to build this project in The Sandbox because it’s a space I’ve grown with — a place where I’ve learned, experimented, and turned my ideas into real experiences using Game Maker and VoxEdit. Over time, it’s come to feel like a safe space — familiar, creative, and deeply personal. That’s why I knew from the start this game belonged here.

6. Future Plans & Sustainability
What are your plans for maintaining the project after launch?
After the event, I plan to refine the experience based on player feedback and performance. I’m also interested in expanding the project further — whether through new levels, added challenges, or small seasonal updates that keep the gameplay fresh and evolving.
How do you plan to attract and retain players over time?
The Project Nebula in Ethverse is built with replayability and community competition at its core. To draw players in, I’ll leverage timed Discord and Twitter challenges, supported by leaderboard rewards that encourage friendly rivalry. To keep them coming back, I plan to introduce new content over time, stay responsive to feedback, and grow the experience in ways that reflect how the community plays and interacts with it.
