I propose we formally declare war on this 30 character limit.
I have, myself, full confidence that if all do their duty, if nothing is neglected, and if the best arrangements are made, as they are being made, we shall prove ourselves once again able to defend our Discourse Forum, to ride out the storm of war, and to outlive the menace of the 30-character limit, if necessary for years, if necessary alone. At any rate, that is what we are going to try to do. That is the resolve of SandFam-every person of them. The users of this forum thread, linked together in their cause and in their need, will defend to the death their character limit, aiding each other like good comrades to the utmost of their strength.

@theKuntaMC any way we can try out a 10 or no character limit instead? Spammers are unlikely our worst enemy at this time.

It turns out, neither Gerladine nor I can identify a way to change the setting on the backend.
The next step would be to go to https://meta.discourse.org/ and search for an answer and/or ask on their forums, but I just do not have the bandwidth for this this week (as I’m still catching up from GDC and a week of reduced hours).

I should have noted that the layout was changed in the past few months (maybe UX updates?), so comments from that far back might not be as relevant now.
We certainly looked everywhere in the Admin settings.
