I think it is important to note here that this is all the community has been asking for when it comes to the first 3 SIPs as well. It has been said many times, many places and by many supporters that all we wanted was a chance to discuss the SIPs before voting on them.
I feel a lot of the confusion on the process stems from the DAO not following it’s own process in regards to the first 3 SIPs (and now first 5).
We waited 4 years for a DAO. We could have done it correctly and followed these procedures by waiting 2 more weeks for a vote and giving the community a chance to discuss the SIPs before voting on them. Even if no changes were made, we deserved the right to have the discussion first.

From the the next SIP onward, we will post all the SIP draft in this forum category and the community will have 14 days to discuss it.
During this time, the SIP draft can be edited with the community insights before it gets ready for vote.
