What can the DAO do to help TSB Devs?

We’ve seen plenty of proposals, but I don’t think we’ve ever asked core developers: “What do you need?”
Perhaps the DAO could help, fund freelance developers or something else, depending on the team’s real needs.

Trouble is. I don’t actually know who the core devs are (shame on me ) or how to contact them. How do we best get answers to these ques–OH WAIT I KNOW

I have moved this topic from General to SIP: Ideas for more discussion amongst the community and @Delegates…

While delegates cannot author a SIP, they CAN author a brief letter to TSB devs offering the DAO as a platform to help meet their needs instead of just our asking them for what we want. – This thread can be used for a volunteer (Sebga) to make the first draft so others here can chime in.

Admin will make sure that letter is sent to all relevant parties at TSB.

Any response we might get from TSB could then be crafted into a SIP by Admin, one of our @Allocators, or a community member.

For context, this is similar to when Admin asked TSB devs what they need, which is how the UGC RFP arose. However, a letter signed by all/most of our @delegates (and @Allocators) would be a strong gesture of goodwill in our efforts to align as closely as possible.

De quoi avez-vous besoin en ce moment pour avancer plus vite, plus loin, ou tout simplement plus sereinement ?

Qu’il s’agisse :

• d’un soutien ponctuel pour embaucher des freelances,
• de fonds pour accélérer une tâche spécifique ou un backlog un peu trop ambitieux,
• d’un besoin de visibilité, de coordination, ou d’outils partagés…

… la DAO est là pour ça.
Nous savons que construire le métavers demande plus que du code : ça demande de l’élan collectif, et parfois, un petit boost bien placé.

Si certaines tâches sont à l’arrêt faute de ressources, ou si des projets pourraient être débloqués rapidement avec un peu d’aide, n’hésitez pas à nous le faire savoir. L’idée n’est pas d’alourdir vos process, mais plutôt de voir où la DAO peut être utile et proactive, au bon endroit, au bon moment.

On reste bien entendu disponibles pour échanger à ce sujet de manière informelle, ou lors de la prochaine réunion si vous préférez un cadre plus structuré.

RE: the letter to devs

THANK YOU for bumping this.

We had it in queue for our next engagement with dev teams, but it must’ve slipped off radars. I just bumped it as a priority. Will get back to this thread ASAP

I might be able to help here. Many moons ago back in Sep 2024 I saw a solution button in my old SIP idea threads, and I started clicking them after the first post in my thread became uneditable due to forum permissions and I needed to distinguish which SIP post was the final one.

And it shows this pretty cool little green thing in the forum thread

and when looking at the forum title it shows a checkmark

… and that’s it. That’s all it does.

Aah yes, thanks @Lanzer , it make sens now, the solution button is for the discussion autor, like in forum when you ask for help and then you have the solution, ok , got it.
