Q1: Name of your Grant

  • Score: 5 of 5
  • Decision: Meets intent of the question. No additional input needed.
  • Rationale: Great job, name makes sense and gives an indication of what the grant is going to be about.

Q2: Total Grant amount in USD ($)

  • Score: 5 of 5
  • Decision: Meets intent of the question. No additional input needed.
  • Rationale: I’ll be looking for an indication if $3K is not going to achieve the outcome in your Specifics eval factor. If so, I’m going to revisit this and question if you inserted $3K because I put that more than $3K will be heavily scrutinized.

Q3: Evaluation Factor – Specific

  • Score 4-May-25: 2 of 5
  • Decision: Doesn’t meet intent of the question. Additional input needed.
  • Rationale: Unclear impact on Sandbox Ecosystem. Purchasing of a laptop doesn’t give a specific outcome for Sandbox ecosystem. Inputs almost get there with “allowing me to actively participate” and “consistently create engaging content” and “will serve as a key driver in promoting awareness and adoption”. Reshape outcomes and specify what active participation, what engaging content, what promoting awareness, and what adoption.

Q4: Evaluation Factor – Measurable

  • Score 5-May-25: 3 of 5
  • Decision: Meets intent of the question. Additional input needed.
  • Rationale: Followed directions but not specific enough for validation and verification of milestone completion to occur. I appreciate that you divided the % to be 33.X, that’s great attention to detail. Your milestones aren’t measurable enough. What laptop do you want to purchase for MS #1? How many assets for MS #2? How do I know when the “final portion” for the guild is reached or the education of gamers has been completed for MS #3? I’m unable to read your milestones and know how to independently verify you completed them.

Q5: Evaluation Factor – Accountable

  • Score 4-May-25: 3 of 5
  • Decision: Meets intent of the question. Additional input needed.
  • Rationale: Did not provide 2 ways to reach each contact. Rambo’s account (https://x.com/ramboshakvr) is a holder of STK community, shows positive engagement between Rambo and followers. TNChainHub is difficult to analyze, they have something that looks like a poem pinned to their X account and some user interaction, but difficult to tell what they do. Rambo can be thought of as owning the success or failure of the grant, but TNChainHub cannot.
  • Per Grok: Profile Context: @ramboshakvr, or RamboshakVR, is a tech and gaming enthusiast with a focus on VR, memes, and community engagement. They have 84 followers and follow 182 accounts, indicating a moderately active presence. Their posts are casual, humorous, and often tied to gaming culture, particularly VR-related topics. Content Style: @ramboshakvr interactions typically involve replies, retweets, or quote tweets, often with a playful or sarcastic tone. They engage with both individual users and brands, showing a mix of personal and community-driven conversations.
  • Per Grok: The X account @TNchainHub
appears to be associated with The Open Network (TON), a decentralized layer-1 blockchain. However, there is insufficient publicly available data from the account’s posts to provide a detailed analysis, as the prompt indicates not enough posts are available to summarize. Below is a general analysis based on the context of TON and related information from the web, as the account likely relates to this blockchain ecosystem.

Q6: Evaluation Factor – Realistic

  • Score: 3 of 5
  • Decision: Meets intent of the question. Additional input needed.
  • Rationale: I’m happy to see the fresh energy. Impacts seems realistic, but lacks support of the Specifics and Measureable eval factors to make this purchase of a laptop seem realistically impactful to the Sandbox ecosystem. When you use the word “Ambassadors”, if you are referring to Sandbox Ambassadors, please make that clear. If not, please make that clear.

Q7: Evaluation Factor – Timely

  • Score: 4 of 5
  • Decision: Meets intent of the question. No additional input needed.
  • Rationale: Meets all timelines goals before program ends. Could use more detail but overall acceptable plan.

Good morning Mr. Lancer,

Thank you again for the opportunity to apply for this grant. On reflection, I wanted to share some honest feedback about my submission.

This was my first-ever grant application, and in my eagerness to fulfill personal needs, I now realize I lost sight of the grant’s deeper purpose, engaging the community. Looking back, I see that I should have placed more emphasis on collective impact rather than personal goals, I recognize that my focus should have been on how best to serve and uplift my community, rather than centering my own immediate goals.

I’m grateful for the experience, and even though my approach may not have aligned perfectly this time, I’ve learned a lot in the process. If given another opportunity in the future, I’m confident I can apply with more clarity, purpose, and alignment with the Sandbox ecosystem.

Thank you for your time and for all the work you do to support creators like myself.

Absolutely, Rambo! I really appreciate that feedback and I love open conversations like these. I completely understand you posting what you know to earn grant funds. Us going back and forth is part of the process to find an exchange of value that is fair and reasonable to both sides.

The fact that you prepared something and are making the effort to be part of the ecosystem is what really matters.

We have two ways we can go forward. The first is, I can close this grant if you believe that it’s not a good fit for the grant program.

Or, you can respond to my evaluation remarks and we can continue to work on this grant application until it’s something I am confident in approving.

I have approved 4 grants. Three of them in the West African region. One does video content, one does X spaces, another does blog posts.

Since you’re supporting the same region, if you can rescope your grant into something that isn’t already covered, then I’m supportive of funding a grant of yours.

Thoughts?

Thank you Mr Lanzer I’d like to rescope it towards a better fit that could benefit people around me as well. I would appreciate the opportunity

Okay! Looking forward to the rescope. When you do, please repost your grant here as a new reply.

Gm Mr Lancer This is the rescope of the grant, I wasn’t able to edit the previous one

  1. Building Tomorrow: Web3 Foundations for Senior Secondary Students in Nigeria, Powered by The Sandbox

  2. $3000

  3. Project Overview
This project aims to introduce senior secondary school (focusing on SS2 and 3) students in Nigeria to the world of Web3, using The Sandbox as their first point of entry. Delivered through school visits, interactive sessions, and printed materials, the program will offer beginner-friendly education on blockchain technology, NFTs, and the broader Web3 landscape.
At this critical academic stage, students are preparing for life after school making it the perfect time to expose them to emerging digital opportunities. Through this program, they’ll learn how platforms like The Sandbox can be more than games offering pathways into creative design, digital entrepreneurship, and decentralized career opportunities.

The primary goals are to:

  • Educate students on the fundamentals of Web3
  • Introduce them to potential job paths in the decentralized space
  • Encourage early adoption through in-person engagement and accessible materials
  • Establish Sandbox as a recognizable first step into the metaverse

This program focuses on real-world onboarding, with sessions designed to be engaging, relevant, and easy to understand creating a long-term impact by sparking curiosity and awareness in a new, youth-driven audience.

  1. Problem Identification
There is a major gap in accessible Web3 education for young people in Nigeria, especially at the secondary school level. Most Web3 content is designed for adult users or university students, leaving teenagers especially those about to enter higher education underexposed to this growing digital economy.

With limited local resources, high unemployment, and a need for future-facing career paths, Nigerian youth stand to benefit significantly from early exposure to decentralized platforms like The Sandbox. Many of these students are active online but unaware of how to move from consumers to contributors in the digital space.

This project addresses that gap by meeting students where they are in schools and introducing them to Web3 in a structured, age-appropriate way. By doing so, it not only expands awareness of the ecosystem but empowers students with foundational skills and direction at a pivotal stage in their development.

  1. Why It Matters to The Sandbox:

This initiative introduces SS2 and 3 students in Nigeria to the Web3 world, with The Sandbox as their first point of contact. At a crucial stage before university, students will learn about core Web3 concepts, including blockchain basics, digital wallets, NFTs, and real opportunities to earn or build careers in the space.

The Sandbox will be positioned as more than a game, it will serve as a gateway to opportunity. Students will be exposed to its tools like VoxEdit and also learn how platforms like Sandbox fit into the wider Web3 landscape. They’ll understand how to contribute as creators, moderators, community managers, or developers and how Sandbox can be a path to those roles.

By starting their journey through The Sandbox, students are more likely to stay engaged with the ecosystem, share it with their peers, and grow into long term users or contributors. This creates a group of young, informed participants who see The Sandbox not just as a platform, but as a launchpad into the digital future.

Hey Rambo! Thanks for taking another attempt at your grant.

  1. Please make sure that your grant is in the format that is described in the Info Thread.. Put the headers in Section B of the post and answer what is in Section C. Please and thank you!
  2. Please put the age range when you first list what senior secondary school (focusing on SS2 and 3) is.
  3. Please list what the curriculum is. You mention that you want to teach blockchain technology, NFTs, broader Web3 landscape…but what does the “beginner-friendly” interpretation of this look like? What blockchain? Which NFTs? What Web3 landscape?

Rambo, following up from last week.

Gm Mr Lancer
I apologize for the late response, I’m currently having my final exams in university so my attention have been divided lately but I’m finishing this week. After I’ll be able to pay more attention to web 3

Understood, thanks Rambo. I think my budget will be fully allocated before July 18th. When that happens, I won’t be able to approve any grant.

@ramboshakvr , Following up, hope your exams went well
