I’ve currently doing this in other grant applications

I want you to do some LIGHT integration of Cebuano into your content. I’m not asking you do the whole piece in Cebuano, I want people to see your content and get the feel of which culture you represent.

So like saying hello and sprinkling in some words here and there where it makes sense. Keep all subtitles in English. Very easy words and phrases that don’t require you to do full analysis in translation.

Please add your plan to Q3 specifics

Q3: 2 videos will have cebuano with english translation and other 2 will have english for Month 1 and same goes for month 2

Q4: Yes, we already have branded channels live on X, YouTube, TikTok, and Telegram but “Launch Preparation” in this milestone refers to getting everything campaign-ready and aligned with the new initiative.

:white_check_mark: Finalize content calendar: Define exact topics, schedule posts/videos, and map out themes (e.g., onboarding, gameplay, airdrop guides) for the first month.

:white_check_mark: Channel readiness: While channels exist, we’ll ensure they’re optimized for this new push like pinned posts, link-in-bios, and any campaign-specific setup (e.g., playlist organization on YT).

Q5: At the moment, I am the sole lead behind the initiative. However, I have a network of trusted collaborators who assist on a part-time basis as needed particularly for tasks like community management, design, or video editing. This flexible setup allows me to stay agile and scale the team based on content output or campaign needs.

While I may be a team of one in structure, I’m backed by a group of contributors I can tap into to ensure consistent execution and delivery.

Q8: Our official Telegram group is called “In a Nutshell: Crypto”, created as a lightweight, welcoming space for new and existing community members to:

  • Catch bite-sized updates about our content drops (videos, threads, giveaways, etc.)
  • Ask questions and receive onboarding help
  • Participate in small events like game nights or AMA-style chats

The group supports our content initiative by providing an always-on, conversational layer to complement our short-form content on platforms like TikTok, YouTube, and X.

Got it. Thanks. How many members does your group have?

For Q3, what are your thoughts on doing all videos in English and all of them has a little bit of Cebuano in them where appropriate. Like “hello” and “goodbye” and other words that make sense to show your culture

Our Telegram group currently has 400+ members.

Q3 – Language Strategy:
I’m fully on board with producing all videos in English, while weaving in light Cebuano phrases (like “hello,” “thank you,” or “goodbye”) where it feels natural. It’s a great way to reflect cultural roots without compromising clarity for a global audience. I believe this approach adds personality and local flavor, while keeping the content accessible.

Also lanzer, can i edit the grant size? I haven’t added the community salary for telegram moderator/manager, graphics and social media manager for 2 months running this.

Moderator/Manager: $800x2 =1600
Social Media: $600x2=1200
Graphics Designer: 300x2= $600

So, i would want to edit grant size to $6400

I’m not sure what you mean. You need to adjust the size because of adding in a telegram and graphics manager?

Heyah lanzer

Just to clarify, the roles for community moderator, social media manager, and graphics designer were not yet included in the original proposal budget. While we already have an active community, these additions are meant to ensure smooth execution during the 2-month campaign and to fairly support the contributors helping deliver this initiative.

This includes:

  • Telegram moderator to manage game nights, respond to inquiries, and keep the group engaged
  • Social media manager to publish content consistently across all platforms and keep the community updated
  • Graphics designer to create teaser posts, thumbnails, and visual assets for announcements

These roles are crucial to making the content initiative not just successful, but also sustainable. That’s why I’d like to adjust the grant size to $6,400 to reflect this contributor support.

I’m not sure these rules are needed. What gives you the impression they are needed from what you originally submitted?

The original submission focused on content production and distribution, which I’m fully handling. However, after launch prep and community response, I realized that the volume of engagement and need for real-time community support especially during live events like game nights, and giveaways requires more hands on deck.

These roles weren’t part of the original budget, but are now necessary because:

  • Telegram activity is ramping up as we prepare for game nights and campaign events. A moderator ensures it stays organized, inquiries are answered, and players feel guided.
  • A social media manager helps maintain consistency and frees me to focus on content execution, without gaps in platform updates.
  • A graphic designer ensures teasers, recap visuals, and branded assets are delivered fast and aligned with Sandbox visuals.

So while not originally included, these roles are needed now to support real-time community engagement, ensure contributor sustainability, and meet the quality bar we’re aiming for.

Then maybe we should descope the game nights. I don’t see their impact to sandbox ecosystem. The overhead required for them is too much.

The onboarding and game nights seem more applicable to your telegram community.

Thoughts?

Totally fair point! Game nights did sneak into the proposal blame my solo brain thinking it was all doable

Looking at it now, I realize I’ll need a bit more support. Right now, it’s just me doing everything, from scripting to graphics to running the show. I’m planning to bring in a graphic designer to level up the visuals, and I’ve added a small mod budget for the game nights too.

Originally, the budget only covered me and the video editor, but running community nights isn’t sustainable if contributors aren’t compensated. I’m also setting up a Discord to help organize things better and make it easier for people to get involved.

Appreciate the feedback and always open to suggestions!

 No problem

I would like to see your content videos be the primary here. If you really wanted to make your onboarding about your community, I’ll need to see a really, really strong package that clearly defines and proves how this is going to contribute to the Sandbox community.

Content videos as we described is much more attainable.

Up to you though, please post your updates to questions here in the thread.

Thanks again for the feedback, Lanzer. Here’s my updated response with a tighter focus on bite-sized content as the core, supported by a lightweight, scalable community layer, and a fully transparent budget.

:bullseye: Primary Focus: High-Impact Video Content

We’ll produce and distribute 8 short-form onboarding videos (60–90 seconds each) across **YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and X.
These videos are created with a gaming-first lens, fun, fast, and frictionless, the kind of content I wish I had when first exploring the space.

:brain: Community Layer: Dedicated Sandbox Hub in New Gaming Discord

While content is the main driver, we’re also launching a cross-chain Discord server with a dedicated channel for The Sandbox. This will be a recurring space for:

  • Answering questions from new players
  • Running 2 monthly game nights
  • Sharing community-created content and tips
  • Gaming Hub for Gamers across Web3

This hub will benefit from cross-chain traffic (from Avalanche, Arbitrum, etc.) and will continue running beyond the grant period as we expand our gaming vertical.

I’ve personally hosted multiple game nights in Telegram before and understand what keeps casual players engaged onboarding should feel like play, not study.

:bar_chart: Transparency: Budget Breakdown

Role Responsibility Cost
Shelley Mae Program lead, scriptwriting, gameplay recording, hosting $1,900 (2 months)
Video Editor Edits 8 short-form videos $100X8= $800
Moderator/Manager Discord & Telegram setup, community support, game nights, $800 x 2 = $1,600
Social Media Manager Scheduling, cross-posting, analytics tracking, growth strategy $600 x 2 = $1,200
Graphic Designer Thumbnails, social templates, visual support $300 x 2 = $600
Community Game Nights Prize pools or bounties for 2 events $500
Software Licenses Covered by us $0

:1234: Total Updated Grant Request: $6,600

:loudspeaker: Visibility & Distribution

  • I’ll be using my Kaito-integrated Twitter account, where I’m recognized as one of the top yappers in projects I tweet about so this boosts discoverability across crypto-native researchers and players.
  • Each piece of content will include Sandbox tags and CTAs, and performance will be tracked, blogged, and reported post-milestone.

:alarm_clock: Timeline (Aligned with SGDP)

  • June: Visuals, content calendar, teaser posts
  • June 3rd week -July3rd week: 4 short videos, 1 game night, recap blog
  • August: 4 more short videos, 1 game night or giveaway, recap blog
  • All completed before August 30, 2025
Subject to change upon approval of this project

:memo: Request for Update

This initiative is designed to run continuously beyond the grant, and I’m excited to help more players onboard into The Sandbox, the right way: through community and content that actually resonates..

Why is this lighweight version twice as more expensive as your original idea and just as expensive as your revised version?

Q2: Total Grant Amount in USD ($)
$3,000 USD

What’s changed is the added scope to support community activation, which wasn’t included in the initial $3K version. That earlier budget was focused purely on content production with no infrastructure for sustained engagement.

Setting up the community layer from scratch
I don’t currently have a Discord server, so part of the added cost is for setting up a new, dedicated community hub including moderation, structure, onboarding flow, and support. This will become the long-term home for Sandbox players I onboard through the videos and future games.

Compensating community contributors
In my experience, it’s really hard to maintain consistent quality in community support when people aren’t compensated. This version allows me to bring in light contributors for Discord management, social updates, and visual assets so everything feels active and intentional, not stretched thin.

The vision here is to make the content last beyond the grant*by anchoring it with real community. Still lightweight, but much more scalable.

I’m not fully understanding what additional community activation you are adding that you didn’t have in your original scope.

Please help me understand, make it very simple.

I’m not sure we need an activation. I’m struggling to see the impact. I’d rather just have the content.
