Question 2 Response: The total grant amount requested is $3,000, which fully covers Phase 1 of the Nestora initiative. This funding will support awareness campaigns, logistics, materials, and the execution of 2–3 in-person workshops aimed at onboarding at least 100 individuals from local communities into Web3.

While Nestora is designed to scale in future phases including expansion to more regions and the development of the first ever Web3 academy (offline and online) this grant application is solely focused on Phase 1. There are no additional funding requests tied to future phases within this grant.

Future funding and partnership opportunities to support the initiative’s growth will be explored after the successful completion of Phase 1. However, whether or not Nestora scales further within the Sandbox ecosystem will depend entirely on Sandbox’s interest in continuing the partnership. If not, we fully understand and will respectfully explore other aligned collaborators.

Nestora is built for impact first and we’re committed to delivering that with or without long-term commitments.

Question 3 response:
What is the Nestora Initiative?

Nestora is a grassroots Web3 education and onboarding initiative built to introduce underserved communities, particularly in Africa, to the decentralized world. Unlike hype-based Web3 exposure (e.g., airdrops or Ponzi schemes), Nestora focuses on real education, practical exposure, and empowering individuals to become contributors not just consumers in ecosystems like The Sandbox, Ethereum, and others.

The initiative is organized in scalable phases, starting with Phase 1, which aims to build brand trust, awareness, and educational impact in local communities through IRL engagement and foundational learning experiences.

What Does “Creating Awareness for Nestora Initiative” Mean?

This refers to a targeted outreach campaign designed to:

  1. Introduce the Nestora brand and mission to local communities

  2. Attract and onboard individuals who are curious about Web3

  3. Prepare the ground for high-impact IRL workshops

  4. Connect Web3 ecosystems (like The Sandbox) with new, authentic communities in a way that’s trust-based and educational

Components of the Awareness Campaign

  1. Flyers & Posters (Print & Digital)

Branded designs with simple Web3 messaging (e.g., “Learn to Build in Web3” / “Explore Virtual Worlds like The Sandbox”)

Distributed in schools, hubs, cafes, youth centers, markets

QR codes to register for workshops or join the Nestora Telegram channel

  1. Media Announcements

Short-form videos and promo clips introducing Nestora and the workshop experience

Pushed on Twitter (X), Instagram, and WhatsApp groups

Press outreach to local media outlets and blogs for community spotlight

  1. Community Info Sessions

Mini pop-up talks or open-air discussions held before the main workshops

Why This Matters

This awareness campaign is not just marketing, it’s onboarding infrastructure.
It ensures that when Nestora workshops happen:

Participants already know what to expect

The community trusts the process

We attract the right people eager to learn, build, and contribute

Web3 and Sandbox don’t appear foreign or extractive, but community-driven

Ties to The Sandbox Ecosystem

The Sandbox will be featured in both awareness and training phases as one of the key platforms learners can build on (e.g., via VoxEdit, Game Maker, LAND, etc.)

Posters and materials will include Sandbox branding and references

Early awareness around The Sandbox will help introduce it as a gateway for creativity and digital ownership

Learners will be onboarded into The Sandbox through demo experiences, hands-on activities, and follow-up learning tracks

What Are the Partnerships Being Formed?

During Phase 1 awareness, Nestora will form informal and formal partnerships with:

Local high schools & colleges to host workshops or promote participation

Tech hubs & community centers for venue and credibility support

Youth groups and churches/mosques for broader outreach

Web3 volunteer networks like ZestHash to co-facilitate awareness sessions

These partnerships are not with Sandbox directly, but they are entry points for reaching the right audiences that can be introduced to platforms like Sandbox in a meaningful, local-first way.

End Result of Awareness Campaign

Question 6 response:

How Nestora Aligns with The Sandbox Ecosystem

What is Nestora?

Nestora is a grassroots initiative focused on turning Web3-curious individuals into skilled contributors through workshops, real tools, and guided learning.

We’re building a structured curriculum that helps learners:

Understand Web3 concepts

Use decentralized tools responsibly

Move from passive users to active builders

And The Sandbox is a core part of that learning journey.

What Sandbox Curriculum is Nestora Integrating?

Nestora is integrating The Sandbox as a real-world application layer in its curriculum, helping learners:

Understand the value of digital ownership

Explore creativity in the metaverse

Learn hands-on by building in a gamified Web3 environment

Here’s how this looks in detail:

Module 1: Introduction to The Sandbox & the Metaverse

What is The Sandbox?

Understanding LAND ownership and its utility

Overview of $SAND token

Real examples of brands, creators, and communities building in Sandbox

Objective: Show learners that The Sandbox is more than a game, it’s a decentralized virtual economy.

Module 2: Wallet Setup & Platform Navigation

Setting up MetaMask or preferred wallets

Connecting wallet to The Sandbox

Navigating the platform and user dashboard

Objective: Get users comfortable interacting with a real dApp safely and responsibly.

Module 3: Intro to VoxEdit (No-Code 3D Asset Creation)

Why This Integration Matters

Accessible Entry Point: Sandbox’s no-code tools like VoxEdit and Game Maker make it easy for beginners to interact with Web3 creatively, without needing technical skills.

Real-World Use Case: Many learners are visual or creative. Showing how metaverses work helps connect the abstract world of Web3 with something they can touch and feel.

Pathway to Building: Learners can continue exploring careers in virtual design, game development, or NFT asset creation through Sandbox.

Aligned with Nestora’s Mission: Our goal is not just education, but empowerment through creation and Sandbox is the perfect bridge between learning and building.

How It’s Delivered

As part of Nestora’s Phase 1 & Phase 2 IRL Workshops

Supplemented with handouts and screen-based demos

Facilitated by volunteers already familiar with The Sandbox

Future integration into Nestora Online Academy

Summary

Nestora doesn’t just mention The Sandbox, it teaches it.

We’ve designed modules around its tools (VoxEdit, Game Maker), values (creator economy, decentralization), and vision (digital empowerment). Sandbox is a perfect entry point for our learners, and we’re integrating it to help people not just understand Web3 but build in it.

Still waiting for your feedback to the reply

Such a long text, partially or entirely generated by AI, is not a good sign and makes me more than skeptical.
Sorry to be so blunt; I don’t want to rush anyone.

No part of this reply is AI generated…The reason for the lengthy write up was based on the reply to the first proposal…the review and response was obviously due to the fact that enough information was not provided, this lengthy response is more detailed, every part was broken down for a clearer understanding of the proposal. I can attest to this if an interview for the grant approval is required.

Thank you for your answer.
Good luck for your proposition.

Question 8 Response: While the ZestHash team brings strong expertise across general Web3 topics including wallets, DeFi, DAOs, and blockchain fundamentals they do not specialize in The Sandbox ecosystem. To ensure high-quality and accurate Sandbox instruction during our workshops, I’ve reached out to Mr. Lanzer, which I’ll be discussing a way for him to connect us with an experienced Sandbox educator or team member.

A portion of the grant budget has been intentionally reserved to cover the cost of this expert’s involvement, who will lead live, hands-on sessions focused on Sandbox tools like VoxEdit and Game Maker. This approach ensures participants receive authentic, ecosystem-aligned training, while ZestHash covers the broader Web3 education.

Question 3 Response

Okay, thank you.

Have you ever done any of these things yourself? If not, what gives you confidence that you can successfully teach them?

I’ve reached out to Mr. Lanzer, which I’ll be discussing a way for him to connect us with an experienced Sandbox educator or team member.

I…I am Mr. Lanzer. I don’t recall you discussing a way to connect you to an educator. Is me connecting you to an educator an important part of readying ZestHash’s involvement?

cover the cost of this expert’s involvement

Okay, so you have someone in mind. Is me connecting you to an educator going to educate this expert so that they can then educate communities in IRL workshops?

While I may not have conducted Web3 workshops at scale before, I bring relevant and practical experience in coordinating and delivering educational programs. In the past, I led after-school programs for high school students, which gave me a strong foundation in curriculum planning, engaging young learners, and creating structured learning environments.

In the Web3 space, I’ve been consistently invited to speak in educational Twitter/X Spaces, where I break down complex concepts for beginners and guide them into the ecosystem building trust and growing my credibility as a community educator.

What gives me confidence is not just my personal experience, but also my ability to effectively organize and lead a team of skilled educators (such as the ZestHash volunteers) to co-develop and deliver a well-structured, beginner-friendly Web3 curriculum. I understand how to balance vision with execution ensuring every participant receives clear, actionable, and localized instruction designed for long-term learning.

Together, with a team that complements my strengths, I’m confident we can deliver high-impact onboarding programs that truly empower participants.

You’re right, Mr. Lanzer, in our DMs, I mentioned I had some questions about The Sandbox ecosystem but didn’t follow up immediately because I wanted to first finalize the grant proposal before moving forward. Connecting with a Sandbox educator would indeed be helpful, but it’s not a prerequisite for ZestHash’s involvement. They’ll be handling the general Web3 education, while any Sandbox-specific sessions would benefit from expert support if available.

Yes, I had you in mind since you’re part of The Sandbox team, but if it’s not convenient for you, I’d truly appreciate it if you could connect me with someone you recommend. The goal is for this expert to directly lead or co-host Sandbox sessions during the IRL workshops not to be educated, but to educate and guide our participants effectively.

In the past, I led after-school programs for high school students, which gave me a strong foundation

where I break down complex concepts for beginners and guide them

I understand how to balance vision with execution ensuring every participant receives clear, actionable, and localized instruction designed for long-term learning.

Excellent, that’s great to hear. Makes sense to me.

while any Sandbox-specific sessions would benefit from expert support if available

Got it. How many of your sessions would not be Sandbox-specific and what would they cover?

Yes, I had you in mind since you’re part of The Sandbox team

Ah. I see now. I’m not part of the Sandbox team. I’m just a community member that was elected into the grant proposal evaluator role. But that aside, aren’t you talking about IRL workshops? What region are you trying to support?

Out of 5 planned sessions, 4 will not be Sandbox-specific. These will cover general Web3 fundamentals such as blockchain basics, wallet setup, NFTs, DAOs, and how to navigate the decentralized ecosystem all leading up to the final session, which will focus specifically on building and creating in The Sandbox.

Since you’ve clarified that you’re not part of the Sandbox team, you’ll kindly help connect us with the core team to assign an educator for live Zoom sessions during our IRL workshops boosting credibility as they witness Nestora’s concrete impact. Nestora focuses on empowering grassroots communities across Africa, starting with Nigeria and expanding to underserved regions through structured Web3 education.

Out of 5 planned sessions, 4 will not be Sandbox-specific

Having so many non-Sandbox specific events falls outside the range that this domain can support. I could imagine during the workshops that you show wallet setup of Metamask on Polygon network using SAND, or showing Sandbox NFTs, but this isn’t enough impact for the Sandbox ecosystem.

grassroots communities across Africa, starting with Nigeria

This domain has 4 grants associated with the West African region. With your focus being on onboarding and tutorial workshops, this domain already has a grant that is approved for this. Apologies, I won’t be able to approve this grant.

Do you think you could refocus this grant into an area not already covered by another grant?

Changes can still be made to refocus the curriculum more around The Sandbox, as the final learning structure hasn’t been locked in yet, we’re open to aligning closely with the ecosystem’s goals.

Changes can still be made to refocus the curriculum

Hmmm…well I have approved the max number of grants about tutorials on game maker and vox editor, writing blogs and articles, hosting X spaces, and sandbox DAO statistics.

Is there something else you can think of that I haven’t approved?
