Q6. Evaluation Factor – Realistic

The Sandbox ecosystem thrives on creativity, community participation, and economic interaction. Yet, most creators and users in emerging markets still don’t understand how to engage with it due to a lack of localized, community-friendly, and jargon-free resources.

Ginakev Digital Academy (GIDA)™, with years of experience running web3 bootcamps, onboarding programs, and educational campaigns across Africa since 2020, understands this gap deeply.

This onboarding series will:

  • Introduce thousands of learners to the Sandbox vision and ecosystem
  • Serve as an evergreen funnel that can be adapted for future DAO-wide onboarding needs
  • Empower creators and players with just enough knowledge to spark curiosity and participation
  • Lay the foundation for continued education tools such as BootTrack, a community-centric onboarding & tracking tool being developed by GIDA™

By targeting real communities and simplifying learning, this grant connects directly to The Sandbox’s goals of expanding participation, community engagement, and long-term ecosystem value.

Q7. Evaluation Factor – Timely

:spiral_calendar: Timeline:

  • July 26 – August 1: Planning, content creation, community promotion
  • August 2 – August 16: Execution of 4 workshops
  • August 17 – August 27: Production of 4 videos + final reporting
  • August 28 – August 30: Final wrap-up, metrics submission, and feedback reports

All outcomes will be completed before the SGDP program end deadline of August 30th.

Gida,

Thank you for taking the time to submit a proposal. Apologies, I will not be able to approve this grant. We have multiple overlapping onboarding and education grants covering this area.

Thank you @Lanzer. Is there a direction that is more in focus atm that we can better refine the scope to?

I’d need something unique that we’re not already funding. We already are doing workshop sessions and educational videos.

Well understood @Lanzer . We were equally looking at a unique angle we have done in the past. Proposing a 3-week cohort-based Sandbox Campus Fellowship, starting with physical roadshows in 3 pilot Nigerian universities and funneling the most engaged students into a structured online program. The goal is to introduce The Sandbox DAO to young African creators and developers through live university events, and then guide a selected cohort into deeper participation via an engaging Fellowship.

Earlier this year (Q1 2025), we executed a series of ChainUp roadshows across 5 campuses with an average of 100 attendees per school, and successfully funneled the most promising participants into an 8-week developer bootcamp. That model worked, and we’re thinking of adapting it here for Sandbox with an even more intentional focus on DAO alignment and creator onboarding.

The uniqueness lies in the funnel: instead of one-off events, we’re activating campuses, then filtering top talent into a structured journey that introduces them to The Sandbox, simulates DAO participation, and encourages creative contributions. With our infrastructure and track record, we’re confident in our ability to deliver measurable outcomes and high-quality engagement from day one

We have a grant already fulfilling this role. I’m happy to consider more ideas

Those are actually 2 ideas - University tour, and a fellowship. Could you help with insight on which of the two you mentioned is already fulfilled? Will be helpful to enable us refine our other ideas @Lanzer

The live university event and cohort. What would a fellowship look like?

The Sandbox Creators Fellowship will be a curated recognition and immersion program for emerging African digital creators — from illustrators and storytellers to virtual world designers — who show potential and interest in contributing meaningfully to The Sandbox ecosystem. Fellows are selected based on creative merit and commitment, then guided to understand the ecosystem’s tools, values, and DAO structure with the goal of enabling long-term contribution @Lanzer.

This is not a casual workshop. It’s an on-ramp for serious creators ready to move from experimentation into ecosystem participation. GIDA™ leverages its reach across 15+ regions to identify top talent, offer structured guidance, and align their creative efforts with active Sandbox opportunities. Fellows who complete the program earn recognition and visibility.

As Phase 2 of the Fellowship, For the top 5–10 contributors who demonstrate exceptional promise during the Fellowship circle, we’d host a 1-week Sandbox Residency. This immersive follow-up (contingent on additional support or alignment with Sandbox DAO goals) will connect top fellows with Sandbox core contributors, provide mentorship, and help refine their creative output with direct ecosystem feedback.

I really like this idea, and I don’t think we have enough time left within the SDGP trial period to accomplish this. Apologies, I won’t be able to approve this grant.

I do think it has a good shot at being an actual SIP though, and you can request more finding than my limited budget.

I encourage you to post this to :light_bulb: SIP: Ideas subforum as an actual SIP to the DAO.

Instructions are here What to post in All Ideas?

and the overall process is here Guidelines

Hi @Lanzer, actually we wanted to experiment this under SDGP trial, then move it to an actual SIP later on (which would then include the residency part). We primarily would need just 3 weeks for phase 1 of the Sandbox Creators fellowship and The timeline up to August 30th is still okay for us to execute this if given the chance. We understand the budget limitation, and are open to working with it regardless, as it’s a first run of this great idea @Lanzer

If I had more budget and the trial period for SDGP wasn’t ending in 30 days, I might be able to, but we’re too close to the trial periods end and I’m about to approve my last grant.

Understood @Lanzer. We can revise the pricing to align with the budgets available, kindly let us know the range…and hopefully, we become the last grant.

I don’t think I’m communicating what I mean, sorry about that. I’ll rephrase.

Workshops and tutorials will only work if I had more money and time. I’m already funding workshops and tutorials, so there is no price range that I can accept right now.

Aha, now I understand you clearly @Lanzer. Fingers crossed, we’d submit in the next SDGP then
