Impact Report on Onboarding African Students into Web3 | A Blockchain Education & Development Grant

Please find attached the Impact Report for the Onboarding African Students into Web3 Grant Program, organized by The Crypto Elites and proudly supported by The SandboxDAO.
This report captures the journey and outcomes of the program so far, including:
• Over 70 students onboarded into Web3 fundamentals, metaverse gaming, and NFTs.
• Two workshops that grew in both participation and impact, showing a strong appetite for Web3 knowledge among African students.
• 10+ project submissions, with 6 exceptional finalists who successfully completed all requirements with creativity and dedication.
• Recognition grants of $50 each awarded to top participants, reinforcing the program’s mission of turning learning into tangible action.
One project in particular, by Inioluwa Aroweyun, stood out for its metaverse-inspired gaming concept that integrated storytelling, ownership, and design. It demonstrates the unique creativity emerging from Africa, and how The Sandbox can serve as a platform to amplify these voices globally.
The program has already proven that Africa is not only ready to embrace Web3, but also to contribute new ideas and innovation that align with The SandboxDAO’s mission of empowering builders and creators worldwide. With your support, we have planted the seeds for a generation of young innovators who are eager to explore, design, and thrive in decentralized ecosystems.
