- Project Overview
We’re creating a simple onboarding and learning toolkit to help new users—both creators and players—start their journey in The Sandbox with confidence.
This project will include:
• A few short and easy-to-follow video tutorials
• Clear step-by-step written guides
• A structured Notion-based learning hub
• Feedback sessions with early users to improve the content
The goal is to remove confusion and help beginners take their first steps inside The Sandbox without feeling lost or overwhelmed. - The Problem
Many new users join The Sandbox, but quickly get stuck and drop off.
Here’s what’s holding them back:
• Tools like VoxEdit and Game Maker feel too complex at first
• Most tutorials are long, technical, or hard to follow
• Resources are mainly in English, limiting access for non-English speakers
• There’s no clear path or structure for beginners
We’ve seen this firsthand and also through feedback in The Sandbox community. It’s a real issue that needs to be addressed. - Our Solution
We’re offering a simple, practical solution designed specifically for beginners.
Here’s what we’ll deliver:
• Short 2–4 minute videos covering basic concepts
• A beginner’s guide called “First Steps in The Sandbox”
• A Notion-based learning hub to organize and track learning
• A quiz or checklist to reinforce learning
• A feedback form to collect input and improve over time
We’ll test everything with a small group first and iterate based on their experience before scaling. - How We’ll Measure Success
We’ll keep our success metrics simple and clear:
• At least 60% of test users complete three or more lessons
• Around 40% of users take one practical action (like building or creating something)
• Feedback collected from 30+ users
• Noticeable drop in beginner questions on community channels like Discord or Telegram
We’ll track everything using Notion or Google Sheets and share updates regularly. - Timeline & Delivery Plan
We’ll build and roll out the project gradually over four months:
• Month 1: Outline the content, set up the Notion hub
• Month 2: Publish 2–3 short tutorials and the main beginner guide
• Month 3: Test the materials with a small user group and collect feedback
• Month 4: Translate key content into 1–2 other languages and issue simple completion certificates
This phased approach keeps everything manageable, high-quality, and user-focused. - Who We Are
We’re a small, hands-on team with experience in:
• Web3 education and community support
• Creating clear and beginner-friendly content
• Onboarding new users to platforms like Solana, Aptos, and The Sandbox
We understand what beginners need and how to guide them step-by-step. - Budget & Sustainability
We’re requesting a modest budget of $2,500, broken down as follows:
• $1,000 for creating and editing short video tutorials
• $500 for building the Notion learning hub and writing guides
• $500 for user testing rewards and feedback collection
• $500 for translating key materials into 1–2 languages
After the grant period:
• All resources will remain open and free
• We’ll keep improving content with community feedback
• If there’s strong demand, we may explore more advanced content or collaborations in the future—but we’re starting small and focused
• I discovered the grant through The Sandbox’s official Twitter and Discord. I have been part of the ecosystem and want to contribute by making onboarding easier for everyone.
