Magic Realms: Let's Co-Create the Future of UGC in The Sandbox!

Imagine creating a full multiplayer game on your LAND in under 3 minutes. We are building the tech to make it happen, and we want you all to help shape it.

Hey everyone,

Let’s talk about something we all know and feel: the incredible, mind-blowing potential of The Sandbox. We have thousands of LANDs, a universe of digital real estate just waiting to be filled with life, adventure, and fun. We think of them as thousands of unlit beacons, ready to shine.

We have some of the most talented builders in Web3 and beyond, true artists who craft breathtaking voxel assets and experiences from scratch. But we can’t ask them to build the entire Metaverse alone. The reality is, for many LAND owners, the path from owning a parcel to publishing a fun, engaging game is steep even with the very approachable tools that TSB provides. An empty metaverse isn’t engaging for anyone.

I think we can help to change that. What if we could give EVERYONE the power to light up their LAND? What if we could empower our expert creators to focus on building the breathtaking skyscrapers by giving the whole community the tools to lay the foundations?

That’s the vision behind Magic Realms.

Bring Games to Life in Seconds

We believe game creation should be as fun as game playing. Magic Realms is a revolutionary tool we’ve developing that uses procedural generation and AI to create complete, playable games from the ground up with just a few clicks.

So, how does it work? It’s this simple:

  1. Choose a Genre: Pick from a list of popular game types.
  2. Generate & Customize: Dial in a few parameters and let our engine generate a unique level for you.
  3. Baked-in Logic: All the complex game logic is automatically integrated.
  4. Let’s Play!: Export your game to the Game Maker, publish to your LAND, and you’re live!

This isn’t a vague idea; it’s a working proof of concept. This is about radically lowering the barrier to entry and unleashing a wave of engaging games by the entire community.

Endless Worlds, Endless Styles

The core of Magic Realms is a powerful procedural generation engine. It intelligently combines pre-designed “Voxel Modules” (think of them like super-powered LEGO bricks) to create unique, high-quality level layouts every single time. No two games are ever the same.

But a unique lel design is only half the story. Once the structure is built, you can instantly “reskin” it with different themed “Block Bundles.” Want your parkour race to be a sci-fi cybercity? Done. A candy-coated dreamscape? Click a button. Easy.

And here’s where it gets really exciting for our creator community… what if they could design and sell Voxel Modules, or themed Block Sets and Asset Bundles for the entire community to use in their generations? This isn’t just a game design accelerator, it’s a new canvas for the creator economy, creating a new market for designers and a richer palette for everyone.

It’s Not Just a Map, It’s a Game

Magic Realms goes beyond just creating a pretty map. It intelligently and automatically places all the necessary game components: collectibles, moving obstacles, special effects, spawn points, and logic components and triggers.

Most importantly, this all seamlessly works with Game Maker. The final experience you export is ready to publish and play immediately. To ensure this works perfectly, we are collaborating closely with numpad legend CyberDragon, the creator of the official TSB logic templates, to make sure these generated games are robust, fun, and fully compatible with the TSB ecosystem. We are also in contact with other talented game developers who will help us to unlock amazing game loops and genres in Magic Realms.

Our First Step: The AI-Powered Quiz Module

To get this powerful tool into your hands as quickly as possible, we want to start with a focused first module: a super-fun, AI-powered Quiz Game.

We chose the Quiz Game module for a very specific reason: it allows us to prove the core Magic Realms technology and deliver a fun, fully-functional creator tool to you, the community, as fast as possible. It’s the quickest path from this post to you publishing a new experience on your LAND.

With this module, any builder or LAND owner can:

  • Create their own custom quiz on any topic (e.g., “My NFT Project Trivia,” “DAO History 101”).
  • Or, simply provide a topic (like “Ancient Rome” or “80s Sci-Fi Movies”) and let our AI Assistant generate the entire quiz for you. The full setup, the questions & answers, and all within a beautifully themed, procedurally generated environment.

How Everyone Wins: The Ecosystem Flywheel

After the first module we will tackle the more advanced multiplayer game genres to bring even more fun to TSB. Magic Realms isn’t just a tool, we envision it to become a growth engine for the entire Sandbox platform. By making game creation fast and accessible to all, we ignite powerful benefits for every single person in our ecosystem.

  • For LAND Owners: Transforms LAND from a passive asset into an active, content-generating hub, unlocking immediate utility and monetization potential.
  • For Builders: Acts as a massive accelerator, automating foundational work and freeing up creators to focus on innovation and quality.
  • For Players: Triggers a wave of new content, making the TSB landscape richer, more diverse, and exciting to explore.
  • For the Ecosystem: Ignites a powerful UGC economic flywheel, driving player growth, increasing demand for LAND and $SAND, and capturing a larger share of the UGC platform market.

Who We Are & Our Commitment

For those who don’t know us, we’re SAND RUSH, the team behind the DAO-approved Magic Palette and the new AI-powered Magic Block tool. We’ve been building in The Sandbox for over 4 years and are passionate about empowering creators. We have a proven track record of delivering on our promises to the community. We’re incredibly grateful to have received amazing support for this concept from TSB Lead, members of the TSB team and, as mentioned, are already working with key creators to ensure Magic Realms integrates perfectly with the tools you already love.

This Is Where YOU Come In

This is not a formal proposal. This is the beginning of a conversation.

Before we are drafting a formal SIP, we want to build this with you. We want your feedback, your ideas, and your honest opinions. @shont has already kicked-off the UGC tools creation discussion a few days ago in this thread here. We would love to continue the discussion with all of you with Magic Realms in mind. Our vision is for this to be a truly community-driven tool development, where we collectively decide what setup and content is in most demand and will drive new engagement.

So, we have two big questions for you:

  1. What do you think of the Magic Realms concept?
  2. Looking ahead, what games would you be most excited to generate with a few clicks? (e.g., Parkour, Hide & Seek, Deathmatch, Tower Defense?)

Drop your thoughts below. Let’s discuss, and let’s shape the future of creation in The Sandbox, together. :blue_heart: :sparkles:

I fully understand that delegates consider the mobile version a top priority — I agree with that as well. However, in the current situation, I believe Magic Realm is the only realistic way to fill the empty LANDs. @Delegates

Thanks for the strong support, @shont!

We completely agree that filling the map with engaging experiences is a top priority for the ecosystem. While the TSB team does work full steam on the crucial mobile version (:crossed_fingers:), Magic Realms is designed to tackle the content challenge in parallel.

As you know, we are actually working directly towards mobile UGC with solutions like our Magic Block app. This allows everyone to create beautiful content for the platform on the fly on mobile. Maybe there’s even an opportunity to have parts of Magic Realms mobile supported, which would be challenging but interesting for sure. We are open to any suggestions here.

We think our open and web-based approach with Magic Realms is reducing friction a lot. By making game creation instant and accessible directly in any browser, we can encourage hundreds of non-builders and LAND owners to bring their plots to life.

We’d love to hear it from you and the other delegates: what game genres generated with Magic Realms do you believe would have the most immediate impact for the platform?

Thanks, Pepe, for the thoughtful message and continuous support.

From my perspective, the game genres that can deliver the most immediate impact on the platform through Magic Realms are those that (1) support multiplayer, (2) utilize the new 0.12 save features, and (3) can be generated and iterated quickly—creating a viral loop of participation across LANDs.

If I had to pick three key game types that meet those criteria:

  1. Co-op Parkour Races – Fast to generate, fun to replay, and perfect for friends.
  2. Mini Multiplayer Battle Arenas (Deathmatch/Tag/Hide & Seek) – Short-form gameplay with strong spectator and retention potential.
  3. AI-generated Trivia Games – Easy to produce and scale across many LANDs with minimal effort.

In addition to that, I believe expanding the template ecosystem itself is critical. If we can increase the pool of creators contributing reusable templates, and encourage a diversity of genres and gameplay logic systems, Magic Realms can scale beyond just a tool—it becomes a foundational layer of UGC creation. A decentralized marketplace of templates could even emerge around it.

By investing in both template diversity and contributor support, we unlock exponential growth for LAND utility and ensure long-term community creativity.

Would love to continue exploring this with the rest of the delegation!

Super excited about this concept.

How exactly can you autogenerate these games?

Are you generating game logic and map separately, so that a player would have to download the map, put it in sandbox, then copy paste game logic into the game, and configure the assets etc? Or what level of user interaction is required at this point?

Hi All you will have my full support on that one.

Thanks for this very inspiring and valuable feedback @shont! It’s encouraging to see that your perspective aligns so perfectly with our strategic thinking.

At the current state of options, we fully agree with your choice of genres and their sequencing. Our proposed roadmap would be:

  1. AI-Powered Quiz Games: A great way to showcase the platform’s core tech and AI capabilities quickly.
  2. Multiplayer Parkour: A top priority for us to drive social engagement, even with the higher workload on content and rules implementation. We will be able to show a demo of this setup soon.
  3. Multiplayer Deathmatch Arenas: A fantastic genre for retention and replayability. There’s also the chance that the mechanics available in TSB may be even more advanced by the time we build this module.

We also see Magic Realms evolving into a new HUB/marketplace you described, where creators can build and monetize their own Game Modules. By enabling them to sell bundles of level designs, logic templates, and even themed asset packs, we unlock an exciting new opportunity for designers and builders across the TSB ecosystem.

Your input gives us even more confidence in developing Magic Realms. We’ve also had very supportive conversations with the DAO team and are pushing to get the SIP ready for official discussion in the next few days. Let’s make this happen!

Hi @cryptodiplo, thanks for dropping by. That’s an excellent question, and it gets to the heart of what makes Magic Realms so user-friendly!

To answer you directly: we are generating the game logic and map together. The experience is designed to be seamless, with close to zero friction for the user. There is no need to download a map, manually import it, or copy-paste logic or configure assets.

Imagine this workflow:

  1. You generate your game in Magic Realms based on a few parameters.
  2. Send the complete experience file to your TSB Workspace.
  3. You open it in the Game Maker, press the play button, and the full game works instantly.

All the necessary block-based level design, the game logic, essential asset placement, and triggers are already “baked-in” and configured. Of course, for those who want to innovate further, you still have the full freedom to iterate on your project in the Game Maker. So you can use the generated game also as a foundation for your own even more customized and unique experience.

We’re excited to make game creation that simple and are moving as fast as possible to get this project started. :rocket:

This sounds too good to be true… but of course I believe you.

Do you know the file format of TSB gamemaker so well that you can just make a fully interoperable game file that the game maker can load without knowing it’s from you?

If so, amazing achievement and I need to know more (but we can take that offline).

@cryptodiplo Well, it’s called Magic Realms after all, hehe. :sparkles:
No, jokes aside, as it’s a fair question, and we’re proud to say the answer is yes.

Our team has over 4 years of experience working deeply with various TSB’s file formats, which allows us now to generate fully interoperable game files directly from our web platform. There is still quite some heavy lifting needed on upgrading the backend for Magic Palette and evolving it into Magic Realms, so this is why we seek funding to make it happen. We should be able to share more details on how Magic Realms works in a short video with you all soon.

We see interoperability as the key to unlocking a new wave of creativity for LAND owners and creators.

I’d love to chat more about the specifics. Feel free to reach out on Discord or drop me a DM here.

Bravo, you guys are superstars. I will certainly be voting yes for this project (with reasonable budget of course).

We need to spread this type of information more in the community. Every nugget of information we get from TSB can be extremely powerful (biversan with the API, you with file format, CyberDragon with logic maker). Would love if you would consider sharing more broadly as well.

Love the idea! From generating environments via Magic Palette to generating full on XPs with Magic Realms.

How much has Magic Palette been able to tie in with TSB officially in terms of marketing the product? The reason I ask this is because I believe that central to a good product is also awareness of it’s existence.

Thanks, @cryptodiplo! We completely agree and can’t wait to share more details here and on our Socials.

We’ve been building support behind the scenes over the last weeks and have received enthusiastic feedback from Seb & Arthur on the Magic Realms concept. We’re also in close contact with the TSB Content team who are very supportive of the project.

Seb even mentioned the possibility of an official Game Jam centered around Magic Realms once it’s ready, which would be a fantastic way to spread awareness. We’re excited to push things forward.

Thanks @Paul, your support is much appreciated.

I’ve received your message and am finalizing the formal SIP now. We will submit it through the form once all the details are dialed in. :+1:

@DAO Great question, I’m excited to hear you like what we have planned! We fully agree that awareness is crucial.

On the official side, we’re thrilled that TSB’s internal Art and Level Design department already uses Magic Palette for client mock-ups and even production work. We thou don’t get direct marketing support for it from TSB.

To boost community awareness, we are launching a new building contest tomorrow called “King of the Realms” supported by the DAO. It’s designed to showcase the power of Magic Palette in a fun, competitive format, and we’ll be promoting it heavily on our socials.

Plus, we are always open to more ideas on how to get the tool in front of more creators, so don’t hesitate to chime in with engaging ideas! Thx

Even if it incurs costs, I believe it would be truly meaningful if it leads to securing tremendous diversity.
