SIP-30: Sandbox Side Event at TOKEN2049 – Community-First Activation at Glass Dome, Singapore

Hi Team,

We had a massive success for the event, close to 2000 participants sign-up and ~ 500 attendees. Token2049 remains the largest crypto event in the world, having a presence here helps us remain top of mind for the community.

This year, we managed to get Yat Siu (Chairman, Co-founder of Animoca Brands) to speak alongside Cyril Forte, Administrator from the DAO, Sebastien Borget, Co-founder of Sandbox and global ambassador, Sandchain.

The DAO Branding is prominently displayed across the collaterals.

We even had Nina Gademan (One of the fastest ladies on the F1 racetrack) turn up at the event.

Fun Games with the community finding blue rubber duckies

Event is packed to the brim

Some feedback from the attendees:

Some reflections: There’s other mega events done by other NFT communities (in large clubs) but one of the core feedback is that at our event, SandFam is the priority. The Sandbox DAO is the heart of SandFam to ensure communities are engaged and HODL. Last but not least, we have managed to deliver an event which is less than 50% of cost compared to other events ($250K) held in Singapore during token.

Thanks once again for everyone’s votes to make this a reality! I will post again when the video is up.

This is great.

Please would Sandbox be going for DevConnect’25 in Argentina in November?

Hi everyone, just dropping in to thank everyone who attended and it was a great event. Sadly, it was our last official role as The Sandbox team members but we’re still an integral part of the community and we hope to contribute more to The Sandbox

Last official role? I’m saddened to hear that ! Thank you for everything you did for the Sandbox

Yeah, Token2049 was also our last official day at The Sandbox. In a sense, it was a beautiful farewell. But it did motivate us to continue the journey as key community members in the region
