This initiative is built on three complementary pillars:
Curation of five artists whose practice resonates with The Sandbox Game’s open metaverse;
Community voting on Snapshot to select the winning proposal (from 10th of December);
Allocation of a budget between 8,000 and 12,000 USDC (already granted in the budget of SIP-26) for the commissioned artwork. The objective is to strengthen the DAO’s position as an active cultural player within the Web3 ecosystem, while showcasing the unique aesthetic and identity of The Sandbox Game.
THEME AND CURATORIAL FRAMEWORK
Theme: “Chunks of Creativity”
This theme invites a free exploration rooted in The Sandbox Game’s DNA:
Dialogue between cultural heritage / voxel aesthetics, digital architectures, and contemporary innovation for Web3
A reflection on collective memory, hybrid identities, and virtual worlds;
Digital artworks (technique is left to the artists) with a final form delivered digitally and minted as an NFT.

December 1–7
Community Voting

December 10th
Artwork Production
Produce the commissioned artwork (artistic + technical).
“Chunks of Creativity” is a perfect theme – it gives artists real freedom while staying deeply rooted in our voxel DNA, collective memory, and metaverse identity. I love that we’re continuing to build one of the strongest DAO-owned NFT collections in the entire space.Full support from me – I’ll be voting YES the moment it goes live.
One small critical question:
Will all five artists’ full proposals (statement, sketches/previews, bio, technical sheet) be published publicly and in a single, easy-to-compare format at least 48–72 hours before voting opens on December 10th?
Having everything clearly laid out side-by-side (ideally in one Notion page or Discourse thread) would maximize informed voting, reduce FUD, and probably drive significantly higher participation. Past art votes have shown that when proposals are scattered or dropped last-minute, turnout and vote quality both suffer.
Other than that tiny polish item, this proposal is already excellent and ready to execute. Let’s make something beautiful together.
Let’s get it out to vote. I don’t think there’s a need for it to require as much support as a normal SIP does. Let’s just get it through to vote
