The Sandbox DAO NFT Collection Management

Gm everyone,

Currently working on a new sip porposition for the management of SAND BOX DAO NFT collection.

Since its been more than 3 month that SIP-9 didn’t reach Quorum I’m coming back with a new team for updated proposition.

For reminder soon the DAO will take custody of more than 16000 asset which combined value is still left to be excatly determined but should be more than 3/4 millions $ worth.

I invite everyone to check out the previous SIP for context. Feel free to communicate with me here, if there is any point you want to get across.

Best,
Arthemort

Welcome back @Arthemort ! Very happy to see you resubmit. I support this SIP. Is our interview still mostly applicable?

This appears to be the previous proposal:

I’m thinking any assets that are going to be “liquidated” from the collection could be used somehow as prizes on TSB to stimulate interest in events?

We’ve put together this small Deck to offer context and clarity on our proposition

Nice! I think this clearly lays out the plan, @Arthemort . Good to see you again at it again. I don’t think quorum will be an issue this time :slightly_smiling_face:

For the loan strategy, which loan website/service will you be using…Blue, NFTfi, something else?

And do you have an idea of how many BAYC & MAYC that you want to sell? Just so happens that this is relevant to another discussion and SIP we just concluded

Note: Brian doesn’t join the chat until 25 minutes in (that’s when the convo really gets going).

Ask questions here on the Forums… Share your ideas… Help Brian and his team shape this SIP Idea into the best possible SIP, @Delegates and others…

Arthemort, Josephine, Kim, it was great speaking with you today!
@Arthemort , a couple questions:

  1. How did you arrive at $100K per quarter?
  2. Could you please explain Kim’s role? I think I heard you say Kim will be preparing the reports.
  3. Could you please explain Josephine’s role?

Notes from the X Space held with Arthemort, Josephine, Kim

  • Josephine developed the first NFT sale in France at auction.
  • Blocart is both Josephine & Kim
  • Josephine: Goal is to refocus and organize into a thematic art collection that is representative of Sandbox’s identity.
  • Josephine: Valorize means we’ll have a consistent art vision for this collection
  • Provenance is the history of a piece of art
  • Kim: One of your missions is to attract new users and creators to TSB ecosystem. So when you use a consistent collection, it attracts the type of designer and user you want. You can also support community artists.
  • Kim: Companies with art collections are put at the forefront of their history. They take the position to become a significant part of their industry/ecosystem.
  • Arthemort: We want to give $100K liquidity back to the DAO each quarter
  • Arthemort: We use a tool call NFT Valuation to evaluate floor price and activity
  • Arthemort: This new SIP is now financially centered, not thematically centered as it was for SIP-9
  • Arthemort: We want the liquidated part of assets that the DAO can easily manage autonomously. There are a lot of frozen assets that the DAO owns.
  • Arthemort: Kim will produce a report that explains the transactions, which asset have been sold and bought and their reason why. Yes, we can include links to these transactions.

Hey, I think I’d leverage my connection with the GONDI team, their advisory board is nice and they appear to be the lending service with the fewest systemic risk factors.

As for BAYC and MAYC, you can see that most were bought for cheap aside from the 750 ETH one (see screenshot) these would be asset I’d tend to loan rather then sell first glance, as they got fairly good loan to value and yuga asset are quite resilient overall. The best of both worlds in my opinion is to be able to keep the apes for airdrop or other ape coin related activities while loaning market marking strategy will enable us to have access to fund nonetheless

the SIP discussion you mention is massive all i can say is that as far as i am aware no ape coin or other ERC-20 were transferred to the dao wallet alongside the NFT collection

I’ll let @JosephineLouis and @KimDeparte tell you about 2) & 3)

As for 1), we decided to got for FIAT value because we need a common basis of value for the overall project.

100k honestly has a ring to it, seems like a S.M.A.R.T goal.

Hi ! My role focuses on organizing information, communicating sales procedures, tracking sales and managing transactions on the secondary market. I will be involved in the creation of the catalog dashboard and internal communication to The Sandbox teams regarding selling and buying instructions. I’ll be working closely with Kim. We’ll be coordinating and monitoring listings (Listing Live) and are responsible for the Reporting Deck. I will also be the main contact for private deals, consignment or othe” within the sales framework, including discussions with auction houses and private individuals.

Kim is in charge of internal communications for The Sandbox teams. She will take part in the creation of the Catalog dashboard, coordinate and monitor sales and take care of the Reporting Deck. In the interests of transparency, she will use infographics to prepare quarterly reports detailing completed transactions, sales results and strategic adjustments. Her role is therefore closely linked to the communication, organization and monitoring of sales activities.

In the first wave of acquisitions, the entire team will be responsible for the artistic direction of the collection. We will select works and artists according to the long-term vision of the collection, through various means: private sales, offer and bids, and commissioned work from artists.
