to be honest, you’re not wrong.
Great conversation today! Congratulations on the initiative; it’s a very important SIP for our community of Creators. Methods for bringing Creators and Players closer together are essential for increasing local engagement, especially in the Philippines, which is a hub for web3.
Now let’s work on getting this SIP passed! Let’s do it!
This a great initiative for the Sandbox making it more well known.
I have worked with Mark along with El and it has been a blast having this 2 large individual being part of our SANDFAM. I am looking forward for the Proposal and will stay tune to the classes. I do have a question though that can anyone outside from those selected schools join the classes? Will there be an option to have someone that is interested in SANDBOX but are outside the school’s organization? If that will be considered, that would be lovely! Kudos to @markbagogames for prepping this. All your efforts will greatly contribute our community
Thank you @sebga! It would be great to have Sandbox Academy for our French-speaking community.
Hi @19vodka03! Sandbox Academy is an initiative that will start here in the Philippines. And other builders or artists can also have it and lead the workshops in their respective countries. We already have 3 interested builders from Ecuador, India, and Indonesia.
Where did you find that the multi-accounts came from the Philippines and India and are being sold? It saddens me to know that some people would make such accusations. Aren’t we a community here that should help each other grow? If you don’t like the proposal, you can vote NO or even say negative things about it. That’s fine with me. But don’t go to the extent of accusing countries are doing such things. A little respect would be appreciated and make this a safe place for community members to share their ideas and have a healthy discussion.
A million thanks brother! I enjoyed our conversation last night and the plans to grow all educational initiatives for TSB. It will be a rough road along the way. But with the help and support of the community we can go to distance!
A million thanks, brother!!! And congratulations on winning the last Game Jam! And yes, we will continue our online tutorial that we already have started before that is open to anyone.
Hello @markbagogames Good luck with your initiative. It’s great to see your commitment to fostering creativity and innovation. If approved, I hope you can deliver on your promises. Even if it’s challenging, keep us updated on social media. This will show your commitment and keep people informed.
Before I vote to support your proposal, it would be great if you could provide a detailed glossary of all topics for your proposed classes. This should include specific information about each topic. This will help us understand the scope of your curriculum and make an informed decision.
By providing this additional information, you’ll not only showcase the thoroughness of your planning but also give us a clearer picture of the potential impact and value of your initiative. I look forward to reviewing this glossary and potentially lending my support to your exciting project.
I have seen with my own eyes MANY TIMES on twitter and telegram, as it was then called, that multiple accounts were coming from and being sold in the Philippines and India, and I can even add a few more countries to this list. I have also complained to the necessary places about the subject many times with the wallet addresses one by one. My purpose in this article is definitely not to create any accusation. My purpose in saying this was to emphasize that our priority should be security and preventing multiple accounts. Even in my own country, I would have the same reaction with the same attitude if such an organization was made. We are a community here that should help each other grow and such vulnerabilities prevent us from growing and will continue to do so if no solution is brought to this situation. And I repeat, this proposal has no value to people who are playing The Sandbox on their computers, investing in their crypto, buying LAND and expecting a profit.
I am playing TSB with my computer, I am staking sand and I buying lands hoping for a ROI at some point. But I am long on that and I know that my investment can only be successful if the creators and experiences Numbers are increasing. So I am fully supportive of any initiative that help increasing those numbers.
PS: I am not from the Philippines.
It has never been about who lives in which country. Most people like me and many of you are buying $SAND, stakes, and LAND to make a profit. I played all 3 seasons. I earned alpha pass in all 3 seasons. if the problems that need to be solved are not solved as I mentioned in my first comment, I am sure that this will be the last season we will see. Again, even if this proposal was in my country, I would oppose it. You seem to be stuck on the KYC issue, but the truth has a habit of being very bitter… In the new season, the same complaints will arise again, 1 person will enter the game with 50 accounts and try to win. They will resort to all kinds of tricks to get to the top of the Leaderboard (which I hope will not happen this season). This is the priority I am talking about, otherwise there is nothing I won’t do for education and quality content. It’s just not the time. It’s like calling an architect to give a building a facelift when the foundations are rotten.
Hello @Emma. Hopefully, Sandbox Acadamy will be approved. And I’ll do everything in my power to meet the community’s expectations. As of now, that will be the means for me to report to the community, to give updates on social media. Or I can open a forum where I will post pictures and videos of the workshop. Please give me until tomorrow to share the curriculum with you and the community.
And thank you very much for the kind words.
Hi @19vodka03. I understand where you’re coming from. It’s just that I feel that it’s unfair to call out the Philippines and India for such things. As for you saying that this proposal has no value to people who are playing The Sandbox on their computers, investing in their crypto, buying LAND, and expecting a profit. I disagree with that. Sandbox is an ecosystem where it strives with the help and effort of every single one of us. Part of the Sandbox Academy is to help the community discover and educate new talented builders and artists. Again, not just here in the Philippines. But globally.
A million thanks for your support @KCL. I totally agree with you. So no matter what other people say. Even if my proposal is approved or not. It will not stop me from continuing what I started with Sandbox Academy. Because I know that there are still a lot of people in our community who believe in this initiative and know its value.
Hello @DaruthTheHuman. I will also start posting English content soon that will cater to everyone. But for now, the main goal of Sandbox Academy is to bring Sandbox to the university’s doorsteps. Not just here in the Philippines but globally using their respective languages.
I would like to invite everyone for my live chat with Sandbox SEA tomorrow about Sandbox Academy. Your attendance would be highly appreciated. Cheers!!!
In a place like Turkey, where there is a great interest in the metaverse, you do events by closing half of a tiny internet cafe and in a place with people inside, but you plan events in the Philippines with a budget almost 50 times the investment made in Turkey. And while doing all this, you are doing it in a country that ruined season 4 (like multi-accounts ruining the season).
**
Do we have to undermine the whole business without doing justice to the events to get investment?

After the last message you wrote, I really get the feeling that you either don’t read or don’t want to understand anything I write. Forget India and the Philippines. Imagine two countries, Utopia and Wonderland. If the things I mentioned happened in those countries and this suggestion was posted here, I would say the same things about what happened in that country. If you are really upset on behalf of these countries, I suggest that instead of being upset to hear it from me, you should be upset that no action is being taken on these issues. I’ll say it again and again and again, the proposal is a very, very good idea in a system where everything goes smoothly. And I don’t need to make any additional comments and I won’t. It is very likely that the proposal will be accepted. Congratulations to the DAO Twitter team.
Here’s my two cents on this SIP as one of the voices from the community with voting power, I voted NO.
Why?
- We are allocating a great deal of budget from the DAO with no ROIs to review. (at least a draft)
- There was no presented study on how effective it is and what we get in return would look like, It was mentioned that there were several studios already practicing this but why did the presenter not get any data from these studios to check first or even get their opinion to collaborate to get their support and the numbers converted.
- As a fellow Filipino, I rejected this idea as this is too country-specific. Yes, I am aware that the Philippines was named as the P2E capital for projects like Axie Infinity to have a break but it was also the reason why it went down.
- Also, as one of the creators and one of the people who started early at The Sandbox. We just wanted the best idea that would benefit us all.
It would be best to suggest a global education initiative online (covering investors, new creators, and players who are interested in learning from different countries around the world) that is backed by The Sandbox Studios which specializes in each field to guide the future artists of The Sandbox, this way we can encourage people around the world to participate and in return, they publish games in the LANDs so we can fill them up for the users to play.
