Problem Description
The Web3 and metaverse technology sectors currently face a significant gender disparity that requires immediate attention. Women are notably underrepresented in leadership roles and technical positions, while also encountering limited access to specialized education and training in emerging technologies. Their contributions to the Web3 space often go unrecognized, and women entrepreneurs in the metaverse ecosystem lack adequate support systems. Moreover, the absence of global standards for gender equity in digital innovation further compounds these challenges.
This partnership aims to address these critical issues through comprehensive initiatives spanning education, advocacy, business support, and policy development. By taking this multifaceted approach, the collaboration directly supports The Sandbox’s mission to foster inclusive ecosystem growth and drive meaningful global social impact.
Solution proposed
The Women in Tech® Global Summit 2025 is a major international technology conference taking place in Osaka, Japan during the World Expo 2025.
Partnering with NTT, this 4th annual summit aims to bring together 650 high-profile delegates from over 90 countries to advance women in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) fields.
The summit is a key part of their mission to empower 5 million women and girls in STEAM by 2030. It will feature 80 expert speakers discussing cutting-edge topics like AI, cybersecurity, and sustainability, plus launch the Osaka Protocol - a new international convention for gender equality in STEM fields.
The partnership will also establish a powerful network of brand ambassadors for The Sandbox by empowering women leaders in Web3 who can advocate for the platform.
Through cultivating a community of skilled female creators and entrepreneurs within The Sandbox ecosystem and engaging high-profile participants in global events and awards programs, these ambassadors will amplify The Sandbox’s message.
Their involvement will be instrumental in expanding The Sandbox’s reach and influence throughout the global Web3 community, particularly among women and underrepresented groups, creating a more inclusive and diverse digital landscape.
