Coordination Call: Web3 Onboarding Program – The Crypto Elites x The Sandbox DAO

Hi @Lanzer,

We’d like to propose a short coordination meeting between yourself (as the grant allocator), The Crypto Elites core team, and our guest tutors for the Web3 onboarding program.

This session would help us align on expectations, clarify milestone delivery formats, and share more insight into how we plan to bring visibility and long-term value to The Sandbox ecosystem.

Please Advice :folded_hands:

I spoke with Wisdom. He needs funding to pay participant/teacher fees, refreshments, t-shirts, fliers, and all teaching materials. Things are paid at the time the service is rendered. He does not have his own funds to host this event, and needs milestone release for the event to be conducted successfully.

I am approving Milestone 2 ahead of its deliverables being delivered. See post #57 for full evaluation.

@MrRightNow misunderstood that the “milestones are delivered first” policy explained in Post #22 was meant to be for ALL milestones, not just Milestone #1.

He faces the same issue with Milestone 3, where bullet 2 of Post #24 says “Facilitate real-world opportunities by connecting a minimum of 10 trained participants.” Milestone 3 will not be released until Milestone 2 is delivered and accepted.

@MrRightNow here are tutorials for Game Maker and Vox Edit

My assessment: Wisdom has shown progress and evidence that he has prepared everything needed to host the training events (see Post #54, #55, #56, #58, #60). I assess it as low risk for a milestone release payment of 1200 USDC.

download link for Vox Edit and Game Maker is https://sandbox.game/

Application #6 Milestone Approval history
  • Milestones revamped and agreed via Post #24
  • Milestone 1 approved per Post #27
  • Milestone 2 approved per Post #57 & additional details in #65

Thank you @Lanzer for the clarification and support.

I appreciate the approval of Milestone 2 as this enables us to proceed without delay and maintain the quality of delivery we’ve planned.

The invoice has been sent to the DAO. We’ll ensure prompt execution and detailed reporting once the workshop concludes.

Also, thanks for sharing the Game Maker and VoxEdit tutorials, they’ll be integrated into the training module.

I modified post #57 with the milestone approval. The deliverables remain open for acceptance.

Crypto Elites x The Sandbox DAO Grant Program

Week 3 Progress Report

Date: July 21st – July 27th, 2025

Overview

Week 3 of the grant program continued with our campus outreach and implementation efforts, focused primarily on engagement and follow-up meetings to ensure the smooth rollout of the upcoming workshops. This week emphasized on administrative coordination on the academic calendar constraints at the University of Ibadan, while strengthening groundwork at the University of Lagos.

University of Ibadan (UI)
• July 21, 2025:
A visit was made to the University of Ibadan to engage the Dean of Student Affairs regarding the onboarding of UI students into the grant program. Unfortunately, the Dean was unavailable due to an extended meeting with the Vice Chancellor.

• July 23, 2025:
The rescheduled meeting with the Dean was successfully held. During this engagement, the grant program’s goals and opportunities were presented, including blockchain education, smart contract training, and community integration into The Sandbox DAO ecosystem.
The Dean acknowledged the value of the initiative but expressed concern about the ongoing semester exams. He emphasized that the timing may not be ideal, as he wouldn’t want students to be burdened with additional academic responsibilities during their exams.

• Outcome:
Program rollout at UI has been put off. We are fully focused on delivering the program during the workshop events approved at the University of Lagos.

University of Lagos (UNILAG)
• Following the prior approval received from the UNILAG Dean of Student Affairs, the team made strategic follow-up visits to solidify the logistics and uphold the expected quality of delivery for the workshops. These included:
• Finalizing workshop venues and student access protocols.
• Coordinating with the relevant university departments for support.
• Integrating Sandbox tools (Game Maker and VoxEdit) into the training modules.

Key Highlights
• UI engagement established with future onboarding timeline not feasible.
• UNILAG preparations solidified to ensure a well-structured and impactful workshop experience.
• Administrative and operational tasks were prioritized to maintain alignment with institutional processes and academic calendars.

On July 30, 2025, the grant program successfully received funding for Milestone 2, enabling swift planning and resource acquisition for the workshop experience.

Items acquired included:
• Sandbox-themed T-shirts and caps
• Stickers and branded onboarding materials
• Hand tags for identification

Hello sir @theKuntaMC

We had a great start to our workshop at the University of Lagos with over 30 students in attendance and 20+ already onboarded into The Sandbox ecosystem.

However, some students are experiencing issues interacting with the Sandbox Game Launcher.

Could we arrange for a Sandbox ambassador or staff member to join a live call to help walk them through the process on or before the Second Workshop event?

Regards,

Wisdom Alaribe

This is a great update. Thanks Wisdom. I hope a staff member can assist. Perhaps this is where we can obtain some help from an ambassador

Not sure who to tag, maybe @KamiSawZe or @AllMyFriends
